Good Book

It is about the expulsion of the Acadians from Nova Scotia in the 1750s, but also has a lot of insight into English colonial policy and the frictions between the older English colonies and Canada and the Maritimes. A lot of the people who were involved in late colonial and revolutionary New England make appearances in a very different light than they do in most American histories. It is also very readable.
I will put it on my list. I am still reading the Irving book, then I am reading Slaves recommendation about New York and then I will hit this one. Thanks.

I think this is right. I think this rule also works for every appointment Bush makes. The guy that worked the hardest for Bush in the Silicon Valley and raised the most money made Bush uncormfortable. The guy wanted an important apointment and now he is the ambassador to some small caribbean island.

My list is getting pretty big. I may have to take some time off to get through all this stuff. I am not complaining. Before I started posting to this board I had trouble finding good books to read. I picked up a lot of lemons at the book store.

I just looked it up and put it on order. Five Days in London is the title. Thanks.

He doesn't. Guy was weird. Really religious. Another person I worked with, who Bush gave a nick name to (a sign you really are in) ended up in Paris.

Perhaps such negotiation is possible at Camp Cupcake.

At other federal institutions . . . he'd be wearing cutoff jean shorts and tying his shirt tails in a knot in no time.
