Sadly, what you hve done, with your consecutive sock posts is to probably drive Spanky off this board for good. Spanky is all about quality, not quantity and now he just sees another gazillion posts to read. No doubt he doesnt get K racing. Who knows if he even saw all his heartfelt song tributes?

That said, I am a little less stung by the rebuke as I happened to read his CAFTA post on the PB for some reason, and it had all the eloquence and insight of a seventh grade social studies report.

The only thing that keeps it from being a winner in my book is that it is still too true to the original. Not Bob's Springsteen entry suffers the same flaw. A parody needs to be true to the mood of the peice, yet have lyrics better adapted to the subject of the parody.

It's a fine line, one I have never been able to walk myself. But I applaud your effort.
We don't reply to Slave on the Spanky show. HE is a dark, bitter, petty force with all the eloquence and insight of a seventh grade social studies report.

He'll come back. But really the focus needs to be only on engaging him in conversation. I propose ks here be purposedly left for only him, and anyone who engages in non-spank convo be shunned. And I've come to the conclusion that open Parody of any sort scares him off. I think he was dropping hints of how to keep him around with the stories about the deer. you all took them as literal, and now this forum suffers. JMT

So in additoin to the No Flames rule, we have to enforce a strict On Topic policy. Agreed.

My family has an LLC where they buy fixer uppers, invest in turning them into a turn key and walk away with the profits. SPanky. how long do you generally hold on to a piece of property before you flip it? Do you fear the bursting of the Real Estate Bubble? At one point wll all your two acre owning neighbors cash in their chips and divvy up the lots for a bunch of Mc Mansions?

No hate at all. It was coming from Less and the lyrics advise Spanky not to listen.

it will also help to do the "spank style" reply, ie no quoting of what you're replying to.

Spanky as i understand you live somewhere near Sausalito. Well i recently visited Muir woods. I have wanted to see Sequoias but i wanted to see the big ones like a car can drive through. i saw some big trees, but I understand that stand is only about 1000 years old and the "drive through" size are 2000 years old.

Are there any of the bigger ones within an hour of SF? How can a stand just start 1000 years ago? Wouldn't there have needed to be some from before then?

No. The giant redwoods (Sequoiadendron giganteum) don't live on the coast, only in the Sierra. Closest are in the foothills, Calaveras State Park off Hwy 4. They aren't as big as the trees in Sequoia Nat'l Park, which has walk through but not drive through trees.

Coastal redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens) are a different species and don't get as wide, although very tall.

What do the giant Redwoods eat to make them so big.

What's wrong with you? This reads like an RP post. Are you upset about the Jessica- Nick divorce?
