Sorry, too obvious?
I don't know what you're talking about. I was talking about second-hand smoke.

Theoretically, the fit should be tight enough that not a lot of light is let in.

I thought it had more to do with how skinny his wife is.

Dr. Bilmore thinks he needs more Vitamin A. Dr. Fringey thinks he needs more Vitamin E. We need a third opinion.

I don't. At least yours allows for some kind of foreplay. If there's no arousal prior to insertion, there's probably not a ton of arousal at all.

I was referring to his leaving himself wide open (for lack of a better term) with the pitching softballs comment.

I hate when I have to explain my jokes.

True. Foreplay is very important - problem is, women seem to have a very stifled and contracted idea of what constitutes foreplay, and are unwilling to experiment.

Like fishing. They just don't appreciate fishing as foreplay.

Closed minds.

Potpourri

A roundtable discussion of issues of the day...

1. Harry Potter books: I'm still amazed at how popular they are among adults. A couple days ago, someone mentioned Denzel Washington's performance in Devil in a Blue Dress. I just finished reading Walter Mosley's Little Yellow Dog, which takes place a few years later. I think Denzel should give the Easy Rawlins role another go.

2. Tattoos: people seem to forget that tattoos were popular before the grunge revival. Sailors have had them for years, and during the tiki craze back in the 50's, they were popular, as were trips to the Pacific. Maoris have elaborate, encompassing tattoos.

3. That Dress: I see a cream-colored accessory. Scarves seem a little too Young Republican, but perhaps there's a way to avoid looking like Christine Todd Whitman. I defer to DS on all wedding attire decisions, and I don't know remember how formal the wedding will be.

4. Hulk: I had heard early reports that it sucked, but Ebert gave it a good review. Have I ever mentioned how much I miss Gene Siskel? We always agreed on films. Movie reviewers in San Francisco suck, and while I enjoy reading Manolha Dargis, we have different sensibilities. Can't some techies feed all of Siskel's reviews into a database that would allow someone to predict whether Siskel, and by proxy, myself, would like a given film? According the metacritic.com, the reviews are all over the place.

5. Movie trailers: I'm happy that I won't have to see many trailers for Hulk after this weekend. (Apparently, the film is Hulk, not The Hulk, or the Incredible Hulk. I'm sure if I was a comic bookd geek, there would be much nuance in that decision.) Is it just me, or have their been at least a dozen different trailers for Charlie's Angels II? It's like no two trailers are alike. Is this a recent development or have I just been watching more TV (to the obvious detriment of my health) than usual?

6. Secondhand Smoke: I'm not ready to write off the hazardous effects of secondhand smoke as solely the creation of plaintiffs' lawyers and fascist do-gooders. I believe one of the first studies attributed increased rates of lung cancer for flight attendants to smoking sections on airplanes.

We can all agree that vices impose costs on society. We also can all agree that a society without any vices would be unbearable. So can't we all agree that the proposed lap dancing ban in LA is going too far? I'm not a regular patron of institutions devoted to the erotic arts, but I appreciate that they and that the artists that populate them, are there, waiting for me with open arms... and other things... for me and my currency to arrive. Maybe I just like hearing Jillian Barberie discuss her frequent visits to LA strip clubs on Good Day LA. She probably has more fun there than I would, especially after reading that article about "darkening during arousal."

7. Arousal study: I'd also like to take this opportunity to say that my undergraduate institution's psychology department sucks. Even though it is apparently quite respected among practitioners, I find their clinincal research programs lacking. Or at least I did when I attended college. Extra credit once a semester for social science classes, and I get stuck with forgettable experiments about how prestigious I consider some careers to be, while halway across the country, kids get to watch Glad-He-Ate-Her with approval of the regents. I so went to the wrong college.

edited for spelling

No - that's me. And as to sandals, I'm thinking silver or fleshtone for the dress - I'm not a fan of pale shoes myself....they don't do much for my big honking feet (not that they are big in a relative sense - obviously if they were smaller, I would surely fall over more).

Depends what you're fishing for. And where.

You're not too tall. I always wanted to be 5'10" -- I think because my favorite teacher in elementary school was that height. Maybe that explains my mental image of DS/BRC.

Mine too. I wonder how much of it is mind over matter though, i.e. for some women who are lesbians the thought of being attracted to a man is upsetting to them, it challenges their notions of lesbianism so getting turned on by male/male or hetero porn is unacceptable so they repress it. Same with straight men for that matter and male/male porn.

I don't see what the big deal is frankly. Hot sex is hot sex.
