Not any more. She quit a couple years back, right around the same time she got gigantic implants.

I went to a College that played ND at home every other year. It was like Atilla and the Huns came throught that weekend. For 2 of those years I was working on a dorm clean up crew and it was the worst. throw up, broken furniture and windows, like a Van Halen hotel room, but Campus wide. Catholic school my ass.

I've always personally preferred the alternate and more obscure version "Buy a Porsche, Smitty" - but hardly anyone gets it anymore*
* "Smitty" being hate Islanders goalie Billy Smith; "Buy a porsche" referring to death of Flyers goalie Pelle Lindbergh when he crashed his Porsche

OK, I recognize that I'm deep into ancient basketball history at this point.

I almost said this twice today. You can't hate him as a player, but you must hate him as an announcer. I think that's what they mean.

Really? That's surprising. Most Domers party like pussies.
Which doesn't mean they don't drink a lot - you have to when everyone knows who you're talking about when you mention the "hot girl" on campus.
For years, I've been begging (via screaming at the TV) for ND to start giving cheerleading scholarships based purely on looks. Jesus, it appears that these girls now actually get them based on merit. For shame.

Dynasties start by killing the past dynasty. The Pistons were built to beat the Celtics, and the Bulls were built to beat the Pistons. Michael, with someone who could hit an open jumper, was a tough team. the Bulls that eventually did win, would have done very well a decade earlier.

Apparently she is now (or was recently) in a band called The Hunns.

She is looking a little . . . weathered.

I'd say a good 90 percent of my ire comes from stupid, idiotic, biased comments made as an announcer. He is the ONLY announcer in any sport that has pissed me off enough to write an angry letter to a network. Hell he's the only reason that has pissed me off enough to write an angry letter to a network. I don't remember what it was he said, but it probably had to do with one too many comparisons of mid 90s basketball to early 80s basketball and a total and complete inability to understand the (then) modern game. It got to the point where I'd turn off the TV if he were announcing, even and especially if it was a Rockets game.
I didn't like him much as a player, though I guess I respected his game. I knew him more as a member of the very excellent Celtics team, than as a player in his own right. When I became basketball cognizant, he was at the "limping up and down the floor" stage of his career. My mom was a Celtics fan, and my dad was a Lakers fan during those championships. It could be a confusing childhood at times.
He may be the reason I no longer watch basketball, though the Rockets sucking ass from 1996 until recently that has more to do with that...

At a recent Texans game, my sister and I agreed that cheerleading is the only sport where the amateurs are better (on merit) than the professionals. We think that the Texans cheerleaders would feel much more in their element if they were allowed to incorporate the goalpost in their routines.

And I like this quote from Nasville Pussy's new bass player:
“We want to unbuckle the Bible belt and suck God’s dick.”
But will they do it in a public restroom?
|
Until this post I had assumed Nashville Pussy referred to a womens' basketball team.
Seriously. Of course, I thought it was a nickname.

He's in the 3 point contest, then you'll have to do w/o, until you catch him starting in the conference finals, and probably the NBA finals.
