Don't tell me you are competing with Atticus for the affections of Joanne Liebeler. She does live in your neck of the woods, does she not?

GWNC: he's Canadian. This is from a HS dunk contest. Yowsa.
That last dunk appears to be a two-footed take-off from just in front of the free-throw line (i.e. where J-Smooth launched his one-footed dunk in the first round of this year's NBA dunk contest). Holy fucking fuck.

Seriously, what is she doing with her arms? What a weird pose.
So you make me scroll back and now I've noticed that she has incredibly large man-hands. Her hand is as big as her face. Are those her actual arms?

eta that she's more manly than I remembered.

Hmmm. She hasn't aged well.

Did you really need to post that? Do other peoples' pleasant memories offend you or something? Sheesh.

Fox cut the order from 22 to 18 episodes, a fact that was alluded to in last week's episode when Bluthe Company's customer reduced its order for houses from 22 to 18. Ahhh that Mitch Hurwitz, he's a funny one.

Agree that last week's episode was brilliant, even though I thought the Ben Stiller bit was a bit forced. The two doctors they've featured have had some of the best throw-away lines/moments in sitcom history. And the two magic show scenes had my belly laughing. Here's hoping it winds up on FX or something.

Dear Fashion Board,

I need your help.

Imagine the following:

You wake up in the morning, ready to face the day. You get a lengthy tummy rub, a trip outside and a nice bowl of breakfast. You might check the front windows to make sure that no one is trying to break in and/or walk by the house. You wrestle with your little sister over a rawhide bone. You go for a long walk.

Your roommate rushes around the house, throwing clothes at random into a bag, muttering about being late. She rushes out the door, and when she's gone you can finally settle into your day. You know that a long walk is coming up in a few hours, and you know that you're going to have to dedicate most of your evening to playing with/fighting off your sister. You have a stressful homeland security job that requires your constant vigilance (not including nap time). You need your beauty sleep.

You've just settled into your mid-morning nap, when there's a commotion, and your roommate rushes back into the house, muttering this time about being really late, and rummages through her closet/lingerie drawer, strips her clothes, puts her clothes back on with the new item, and then rushes out of the house again.

It's discombobulating, it's disconcerting, it upsets the puppy, and it throws off my entire sleep schedule. I have a finely tuned schedule that can't be disturbed, and I don't see why she can't live without a single item of clothing. I certainly don't change outfits for every occassion. Usually it's an item of clothing you can't even see if you're looking at her and she's not moving, though today it was the shoes. And she did have two. Just not two of the same pair. I thought that no one would notice that she was wearing a strappy sandal on one foot and a slingback on the other, and they were more or less the same height, but nooooooo, she had to come back, wake me up, and get new shoes.

Fashion Board, I don't really care what she wears, but she obviously does. It's obvious to everyone that she's incapable of packing for herself. Could one of you come over every night and help her pack her clothes so she doesn't forget anything? My sleeping schedule, my sister, and I would thank you.

Sincerely,

The Displaced Dog

Dear DD;

While we all cherish the relationships we have with our "companions", we can't always be "buddies." Sometimes we need to do things that are good for our companions that we'd rather not do. But we need to think of them first.

She will settle down once you have her spayed.

Sincerely,

Dear Abby.

thread title

The first time I saw the new thread name, it was on the "Active Forums" page, which doesn't have room for the full title. It stops at "hipster." Anyway, two images came to mind at first: one was that of someone deciding Flower was well past his prime and shouldn't be forced to live like that, the other was of Coltrane pulling a feeding tube out a holster on his hip.

I know, my mind works in fascinating ways.

Jesse Jackson

Someone please tell Jesse Jackson to stop. For the good that he does, he negates it by doing something stupid. Please please someone tell him to stop.

Stop the madness

Totally unrelated to anything anyone else is talking about

I just downloaded the new Bruce Springsteen single, Devils & Dust, from I-Tunes.

It kicks ass.

I cannot wait for this album to come out. I haven't been this excited for an album since, like, the new The Knack album came out in 1981.
