Rotting From The Head

[i] "journeyman level players"
I vote the term "journeyman" be banished from all color commentary, and the term "back of the envelope calculation" be barred from discourse of all kinds, completely. Why not just say "better than average, but not amazing" and "based on limited numbers available." While I'm at it, never use "lion's share" for anything. Just say "most."

All of these phrases were good, until the fucking internet gave them to everyone, and now every jackass uses them.

Its like those royal blue shirts a bunch of years back.

Why torture yourself with the wait, I'll bet that there is more than enough free gayporn on the internet (and probably a few fetish sites for christians on teen boys) to satisfy all of your national jerkoff month needs.

Indulge.

You will not get the best price on e-bay, though you could probably unload it fast.

I've never sold jewelry before, either, but I'd try to find a "vintage" jeweler in a good neighborhood that will sell it on consignment. Most of the world still pays outrageously marked-up premium prices for jewelry at bricks & mortar jewelry stores. You want to get as much of the outrageous retail markup yourself as you can.

You could always have them melted down and made into a cool pendant or something, as an alternative -

The Muade Lebowski hair on your face looks kind of like Emo Philips. Is that intentional? Because now I have his voice in my head and it's making want to strangle housepets.

Your best bet is tofind a friend who is getting married and sell them that way. Otherwise go E-bay. A jeweller or pawn shop will pay less than half of what was paid for them.

I'm with Sebastian! In fact, I say we ban all metaphors. Our language is colorful enough without the abundant use of pretentious rhetorical flourishes.

I guess she's not going to be celebrating the Pill's birthday.

What about colorful, homespun ones? Because, if you're planning on getting rid of them, I just think that that dog won't hunt.

Neeeeew, I don't want to fuck with a local counsel who fire off those little ditties. I'm talking about the douchebags who say things during settlement discussions like "Well, back of the envelope, I'd say its 'blah blah blah.'" I read Paul Krugman (who was a terrific oped writer, but has gone completely insane lately) do it this morning. Hence the ire.

Were we to ban metaphors, I'd implode like, like a... you know what I mean.

ETA: To the douchebag who may write "that's a simile, not a metaphor," pull your fat sweaty knuckles back from that keyboard. A simile is a metaphor.

ETA: To the Flower, I apologize for the Escher bit. Awful. Just awful.
