SPanky. how long do you generally hold on to a piece of property before you flip it? Do you fear the bursting of the Real Estate Bubble? At one point wll all your two acre owning neighbors cash in their chips and divvy up the lots for a bunch of Mc Mansions?

I flip them as soon as I can. I think the Bubble could burst at any time. I hold onto real estate right now for as little time as possible.

Spanky as i understand you live somewhere near Sausalito. Well i recently visited Muir woods. I have wanted to see Sequoias but i wanted to see the big ones like a car can drive through. i saw some big trees, but I understand that stand is only about 1000 years old and the "drive through" size are 2000 years old.
Are there any of the bigger ones within an hour of SF? How can a stand just start 1000 years ago? Wouldn't there have needed to be some from before then?

You are way off. I live down in the southern peninsula. Palo Alto Hills right next to Los Altos Hills.

No - I wait to rent Six Feet Under when it comes out on DVD. Same with the Sopranos. So I have only seen the second season of Six Feet Under and the fifth season of the Sopranos. I don't want anyone giving away plot lines.

Possibly, but I'm thinking no.
Instead, I'm thinking that it represents the outer frontiers of literalism, and I'm calling this fresh discovery "GTGP2005-231." The International Humor Society will rule on my application in due course, and if accepted grant this celestial discovery a more normal name.

Oh, and Spanky, not to worry. The COugar incident was tangential to the show. The real spoilers are on the FB< with spoiler space of course.

Hank, we have a saying out here in the West: If you want to drive through a tree, don't visit a freakin' National Monument. I think Clinton issued some kind of executive order banning people from driving through trees.
Contrary to Threads's implication, sequoia sempervirens does grow large enough to drive a car through. Its larger specimina also hold the distinction of being taller than giganticus. You can either head north to the Redwood Highway (quite a bit more than an hour from SF), or south to Big Basin, which is just over an hour from SF if you drive really fast.
Comprehensive list of drive-through trees, with lots of broken links, here.

****SPOILER ****
Somebody dies in every single episode of SFU.
This is probably true for the Sopranos, too.
