HuffPo - Sell Your Soul for a VF Cover

Noticed the recent trend of dishy confessions from the VF cover set, interesting perspective on same. p.s. Terri Hatcher and Jennifer Aniston are like my least favorite people. Jennifer of homely lantern jaw and piggy eyes and Terri of that bottomless pit black hole of neediness.

I think we can be forgiven for hoping (against hope) for the "Penthouse Letters" version of that explanation. It was definitely worth asking, just in case.

Seriously. I was waiting for the story to transition into the two of them getting so angry at each other that they stripped off each other's boxing gear and clothes and had a scissor fight.

Italy. Goddammit, str8, why couldn't you stay away from World Cup predictions?

I'm not sure why I'm coming under fire in the subject line of this thread. The only thing I predicted is that Viera would not score a goal -- that, and Franck Ribery would play very well. Seems like I'm 2 for 2.

He just got married and is going through a masculinity crisis. The same exact thing happened to you. And you know it.

A. I like Jennifer Aniston, although I don't like the whole "poor me -- Brad dumped me -- don't pity me, dammit!" thing.

2. I wonder who the heck the dude is talking about. NFH, any clue?
  • A while back, I had dinner with an Oscar winning actress who had been unceremoniously dumped by an Oscar winning actor, so he could marry a younger, more famous Oscar winner. "Vanity Fair called," she told me, "they said they'd put me on the cover if I gave them dirt on (her ex)." I knew this was a real dilemma for her, as her acting career could use the boost such publicity would bring, and her venom for her ex was still running hot. The opportunity seemed too tempting to turn down. "I'm not gonna do it," she said, surprising the hell out of me. "Really?" "Yeah. I think Jackie O. had it right, you know? Keep your fucking mouth shut."

I thought you said France would win. Ah, well. Sorry about that. So much for THAT "karmic nullification" theory.

Speaking of which...what do you think the financial markets will do? Care to share your investment strategy?

Pirates

So I was one of the 5 billion people to see Pirates of the Caribbean this weekend. I paid extra to see it in digital video - which I highly recommend. I liked it. The special effects were great - especially Davey Jones. There were more scenes from "the ride" in this movie, adding a little cuteness. It was long, and the last 20 minutes is a set up for "Pirates III, the search for Keith Richards." Otherwise, worth seeing.
