Now Xtina Aguillera (or even Christine Young) I would do for free. She still hasn't offerred, but at these prices I don't see how she can refuse it.

Pink

Baby dyke? I'd say full-grown. Or don't you think all the face-licking of her female backup dancer in her latest video is trying to tell us something?

Funny that someone mentioned "What's Goin' On?"--I seem to recall that in the Pink "Driven" episode they were talking about how the young Alicia Moore idolized the lead singer of 4 Non-Blondes and eventually got to meet her, etc.

Of course, that's more evidence of lesbiosity, NTTAWWT.

Duran Duran is the first band about which I ever heard somebody say, "I was into them before anybody else ever even heard of them." And yes, the boy who said it was then and forever a complete and utter tool.

I loved Dan Hartman and that song. And that very awful movie also starred Michael Pare of Eddie and the Cruisers "fame."

For some reason, I thought a black group did this. Or was it just that the video gave that impression???

Gwinky will appreciate this -- One summer (1985 or 1986??), at band camp (actually band trip), I actually saw the aforementioned Katrina and the Waves perform during their short-lived fame at Ontario Place in Toronto. My one trip there and they just happened to be playing in the park that day...

Others from Illinois would be Uncle Tupelo, Material Issue or Poster Children during college... Also saw a little band called Smashing Pumpkins then...

for example, i wouldn't call someone like devo a one hit wonder even though "whip it" was their only hit because they are as well known for their first album which although not a big success commercially was very influential. and although as this link shows, the "touch of gray" was the only big hit single that the grateful dead hit no one would ever say that was what the grateful dead was known for
http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p...lyj9kext7q70~C - the grateful dead would be the quintensensial example of a band with a substantial album career that just happened to intersect with the mainstream once.

i do not think that it requires that the artist only have one hit if the other hits had all been forgotten. i'd really think that the test would be if you hear the artist's name, you think of that one song and only that one song.

Apropos of nothing (perhaps this should be in reply to TF's poll), I saw John McCafferty and the Beaver Brown Band live. The dark side's callin, now......

But isn't she dating BMXer Carey Hart? Are you trying to tell me that this is some sort of ruse? That I am naive? Am I to believe that she really likes jumping around, licking girls faces and air-humping girls on stage? It is not just an act? She, she, she..likes girls in THAT way???????
