Probably exit polls from different places.
Or Kerry's winning Mississippi.
You decide.

I Never Get Enough Wonkette
From Wonkette on the numbers:
I have been asked to clarify: The little birdie is not Joe Trippi nor anyone he works with.
In fact, the little birdie is really skittish and not exactly trustworthy in all cases. Please vote, even if you live in PA. These could be total forgeries, designed to keep you from voting. As a friend put it, "The Yankees always figure out a way to win."

Huh? Stop Sidd, we're boring everyone. At a NM pep rally people were asked to agree to vote for Bush to get to see Cheney. I admit this.

Tidbits from Kathryn Lopez's ("K-Lo") posts in National Review's The Corner. She's not normally the excitable sort, so the all-caps ranting and over-wrought tone suggest she's starting to sweat:
"EXITS -- BETTER: Kerry +4 in Ohio, I'm hearing from good multiple sources. I'd nix the earlier report. (BY BETTER I MEAN MORE RELIABLE EXIT REPORT, MEANING I HAVE GOTTEN FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES.)
MESSAGE: GET OUT THE W VOTE IN OHIO."
A little later, she posted:
"WARNING: Do not, again, do not take any exit poll resports too seriously. JUST GET OUT THE VOTE. Exit polls not always reliable, ESPECIALLY early ones. AND, this isn't over until the polls close. So please get to work while there is still time.
DO NOT get depressed. DO NOT get mad. JUST GET OUT THE VOTE.
I contend this is the most important election of many of our lifetimes. I'm almost willing to make a deal and give the Dems 2008 if we can have this one."
And then:
"FLORIDA EXITS: Hearing Kerry one ahead, from multiple (media and political) sources"
She's right that exit polls are not reliable. She's also clearly starting to panic.

Betting Update
Because I know you care.
When I got in this morning at 9:15 my time, Kerry was +130 at http://www.wsex.com . I have seen him as low as +110 since then. Inter- day betting continues. I am up to holding 7 contracts on Kerry at an average cost of $41.43, with a win paying $100 on each. Of course, I could sell them right now at $42 for a profit of $3.99.

For someone with a statistics background like Ann-Marie, one should expect more.
She should clearly stick to writing about ass-fucking.

No. Unless the pollsters are waiting behind you at the mailbox, that is.

1) She's excitable all the time. Clearly you don't read the Corner.
2) The ALL-CAPS was to call attention to the fact that she was updating her early Ohio poll post - which showed Bush up an [unbelievably high] 10 points.
