Does anyone remember that Bloom Country story where there is a nation wide search for someone who beat up a mime. Finally they figure out it was opus (with a baseball bat). He was being harassed at a shopping center by a Mime, and he just lost it.

Classic.

Actually, I believe he used an olive loaf. Even more classic.

  • Anyone out there every had a client something this dumb, and if so, what do you suggest?

Client buys 2005 car (via a loan), insures it and then turns around and "leases" the vehicle to a 3rd party - a young/immature person whom he should never have gotten involved with. Lease agreement is a horrible little piece that client threw together himself. Lessee won't pay now and is not cooperating with the return of car. Not even sure if his lender knows he's doing this kind of thing - pretty sure lender would not be too impressed if it did know.

Anyway, thoughts on how to get the car back. Hire a repo outfit? Anyone ever had to fix a mess like this before?

My response was: Does his wife know about the girlfriend yet?

If you're Brian Walsh and the gang from The Deep End theme camp, 800 bags of ice, 200 cases of Red Bull, 80 cases of liquor and a 75,000-watt sound system ought to do it. That's what it takes to put on the biggest party on the playa, a dawn-to- dusk rave with an open bar and a dance floor that covers one acre of dusty, cracked earth.")

Is it just me or are there actors whose performances make certain shows just unwatchable.

1) CSI Miami. I like CSI Las Vegas, but that red headed guy (David Caruso?) in CSI Miami is so bad it just ruins the show. I can't watch him.

2) Captain Janeway in Voyager

3) Captain Cisco in Deep Space Nine.

Am I off base here?

Sylvester Stallone in anything.

I don't watch the CSI shows, so I can't really comment there. Janeway was an annoying character. I don't know that it's the fault of the actor so much as the writers. I may have watched DSN a time or 2, but never found it compelling enough to watch regularly. I don't remember much about it, and I'm not sure it's the actor's fault.
