Question: do exit poll results include absentee ballots?

Depends.
Did the Democrats get to toss them in the trash yet?

What have you got against ass-fucking?
PLEASE don't answer that in any detail.

Unlikely to include absentees and I don't know what they do about early voters - in other words, in Florida, where so many people had already voted, I don't know how many of them are reflected in the exits.
Exit polls also tend to trend Democratic as the day goes on, unless the weather turns bad.
Bet with or against Les based on exit poll data at your own peril.

Quiz: if a state with lots of military is contested, do you think we'll see the Dems throwing out military votes (from Iraq/Afghanistan) for technicalities again?

A good discussion of exit polls can be found at Mystery Pollster's blog. More here at Slate.

No, but apparently Bush is up big on those, so I was going to give up if they were included.

Give it a rest.
You tell any black people that the election was yesterday yet?

I checked again just to see if anything had been posted in the last three minutes.
Still nothing.
I'm getting fuck-all done today at work. Maybe I'll go back to fetal position.

Not solely, and not in her second post telling readers not to panic: "DO NOT get depressed. DO NOT get mad. JUST GET OUT THE VOTE." That's pure "ALLCAPS-for-emphasis", a sure sign of mental illness or despair. I know, I know, take it to the FB.

Of course, Goldberg is a complete idiot, and these are early, anonymous exit polls, so I'm now just wasting bandwidth, but then, when am I not?

This is quite frankly, the stupidest argument I've been in on these boards and I'll have you know I've argued over some doozies (eg., Wheaties Box Policy).

And, this is like Groundhog day. By the end of the day, Sebby conceded that it would seem Kerry used the term "opposed" to pander to the Little People.
|
What the fuck does Sebby have to do with what I think? Sebby can concede whatever he wants, it really doesn't mean much to me.

The believers. Those who wouldn't ask what he meant. You. Congratulations, you and a senile Catholic grandma in a nursing home have a lot in common. But hey, if you feel safe in the mob, why ask questions.
|
The questions I have asked have been answered. Is his position better than Bush's w/r/t a Constitutional Amendment? Yez. If he is against gay marriage, does he at the very least support civil unions? Yez. What his opinion is about where he stands on him getting married to your dad or his daughter marrying your senile Catholic grandma or whatever adds nothing.

Nevertheless, the lessons for all of us should be clear: Do not, under any circumstances, leave your computer for a brief lunch, for this may be enough to throw the election to the other side.

Wonkette! Wonkette! Wonkette!
Drudge is now reporting the same numbers as Wonkette, and indicating they come from the Nation'l Election Pool - the combined exit polling for the six largest networks. So they are probably state-wide, even PA.
Well, remember, according to the Exit Polls from last time, President Gore should be running for re-election.

OK, mr angry guy,
Show any evidence that Kerry has ever provided that would color his use of the word "opposed" for the following situations:
1.) He's opposed to himself marrying a man;
2.) He's opposed to his daughters marrying a woman;
3.) He's opposed to his neighbors marrying within their same sex;
4.) He's opposed to anybody marrying within their same sex.
Regarding 1-4 above, he would vote, as an individual, to ban one or more such practice at:
1.) The state level;
2.) The federal level.
Regarding 1-4 above, he would vote, as a legislator, to ban one or more such practice at:
1.) The state level;
2.) The federal level.
Point me to any statement he's made that would color an answer to even one of these questions. Yesterday, 15 different posters couldn't, even after saying they understood what he meant by "opposed". Instead, they shut the fuck up.
In his usual style, Sebby came back to the battlefield to pick over the corpses of his dead and declare victory. Unfortunately, the only corpses on this battlefield are those of your people. I swear you were here yesterday, so it seems strange that you only joined in when you have nothing to say except the usual D name-calling and shrill insults. Is this what we can expect from the minority party for the next 4 years?
Hello
|
1. Your checklist of what Kerry must do to satisfy your definition of "opposed" is absurd. Its almost Monty Python absurd.
2. You don't win an argument by setting an unrealistic and ludicrous standard of proof (after the fact, I might add) and then claiming victory when no one reaches it.
3. That I called your opposition standard absurd doesn't mean I'm shying from the debate. It means exactly what I said - your standard is so off the deep end and out of touch with normal definitiions of "opposed" that I can't debate it. Its as though you argued "The sun is a pink grapefruit!" Where do I begin with my rebuttal?
4. I don't know what "picking corpses" means, but I'm sure I didn't do it. I also didn't declare "victory". In fact, I acknowledged your point yesterday. I just didn't think its was material.

Nope. And if the vote is close enough, those could matter.
