Oh, fuck...
I'm sorry guys, I couldn't help it. I needed to take a walk. I've failed us all.
Just stay in the fetal positions for the next four years.

Something's Happening
For the first time ever, Bush and Kerry are in a dead heat at my sports book. Contracts are trading at 48/52 sell/buy for each of them. Don't know if it is b/c of money coming in on Kerry or polling data.

Anxious and restless, but don't want to leave your computer? Take this 2004 Election Quiz from the Guardian.
How'd I do, I hear you all wonder. Feh:
- You scored 33 out of a possible 40
You are candidate: Ronald Reagan in 1984 Politically astute and you made as clean a sweep as anyone ever has

This is about as good an admission of defeat as I've seen on these boards. This is even better than "But [some really dumb poster] or [all the really dumb posters] agree(s) with me". If you could answer the question, you would. But you can't, because you and a whole bunch of other people just guessed what he meant. That's how they get ya.

I'm heartened to see that Bush has 43% of CA. That is surprising.

FWIW, that's not his prediction -- it's an aggregation of the most recent poll available to him from every state.

You can't answer the questions. You understand this already.

You are right that it could be people closing out Bush positions because of the uncertainty. It appears to have settled in at:
Bush 46/50
Kerry 50/54

Post some other ones.
Otherwise, you just sound like some cat who's underwear is too tight.

The National Election Poll numbers so widely quoted (and posted on Drudge) were based on a 59- 41 women to men ratio.
Something tells me that this isn't an accurate sampling.
