Real World

You know how the Sports Guy is always writing about the pantheon of faces? I think this season's Real World San Diego has brought us a new Hall of Fame face: the Jamie "I can't believe that Frankie and Robin are both having total meltdowns at the same time to compete for attention" face. Good times. Good times.
As good as all this is - I prefer watching the Trishelle "I am a cock tease" of Sundays' Surreal Life versus the Trishelle "I am a jealous bitch" of Monday's RW/RR Inferno.

Just be careful and don't sell for less. Remember aids got started because some youngster got caught up in the moment and fell for some simian's charms.

De mortuis nihil nisi bene

I'm not sure if we should praise This guy (hi NotFromHere!) for inventing movie theater popcorn, or curse him for coming up with overpriced candy bars. I vote the latter. Popcorn was obvious.

You don't need confirmation, you already know it isn't for you. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

You say this for the same reason I encourage other men to try gay sex.

Less competition.

Gay is clearly the new straight when people have to be told there is nothing wrong with not being gay or having bisexual tendencies. It's like a death row pardon two minutes too late.

(Just wondering. Some folks around here might enjoy being ahead of the curve for a change.)

Initially, I thought you were joking.

But then, I saw, right there on the post, that you did actually laugh.

So now I believe.

Yes, I could see where you would be confused.

Moving on (or really moving back):

In the aftermath of Janet Jackson's controversial Super Bowl breast exposure, MTV has decided that pop tart Britney Spears may be a bit too "Toxic" for daytime tastes.

OMG, MTV has officially become a "network." And puritanical at that. What next, the comedy channel thinks that South Park is too racy for prime time?

So, did you ever find out if your friend's "crush" is gay or straight?

Who would have figured? Atkins was a fatty!

Paper: Diet guru Atkins qualified as obese

NEW YORK (AP) -- Dr. Robert Atkins, whose popular diet stresses protein-rich meat and cheese over carbohydrates, weighed 258 pounds at his death and had a history of heart disease, a newspaper reported Tuesday.

Atkins died last April at age 72 after being injured in a fall on an icy street.

Before his death, he had suffered a heart attack, congestive heart failure and hypertension, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing a report by the city medical examiner.

At 258 pounds, the 6-foot-tall Atkins would have qualified as obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's body-mass index calculator.

I KNOW I've mentioned this numerous times before. What is more, it was only after Atkins' death that his diet was changed to allow for complex carbs and to emphasize that low-to non- fat protein was preferable to high-fat protein.
