Note to Hank: My t shirt is pretty baggy and long it is a pretty modest get up [I would never let it all hang out.] My legs are fine. Actually they are decent.

What kind of sportsbra?

Here and there, my exercise regime is more a combo of fastwalking, Concept2 indoor rowing and horizontel cha-cha'ing.

It sounds like you may have a problem with your technique. Running primarily should utilize your leg muscles. This may also explain your endurance issues.

This is an example of bad running technique:

Jogging involves just leg muscles- running requires one to drive with the arms. when you "run" do you wear a fanny pack with a water bottle?

Hence my use of the word "primarily." But thank you for your constructive criticism, which is almost always appreciated.

I thought fanny paks were for tourists and old farts? Or old fart tourists? Just kidding. I needed a water bottle on Sunday since it was so hot and muggy....

Really. That's it. Until last year, I could never run more than about 6 or 7 minutes at a time, because I would go too fast and get out of breath and have to stop to walk. Slowing down made all the difference. I'm planning to run the NY Marathon in November, and am up to about an hour and a half (my longest run to date).

As for time of day, I do my best running in the evening. I don't know why. I think it has to do with the temperature.
2. She knows what she's talkin' about.

In the beginning, getting the miles under your belt is the most important thing, regardless of speed.

Hey, thanks dtb.

That is great advice. I think that is a common mistake to sprint and then die out and stop to walk.

By the way--congrats on plans to run NY Marathon that is very cool.

I went this morning but the mugginess made it hard but I am less out of breath every time I go/the more regularly I go.

Last ? Should I run every day or go every other day to let my body heal/take a break...

Sprinting requires one to drive with the arms. Even running a 6 min/mile doesn't require major arm pumping. It's a waste of energy at that pace.

Me too, because Fringey tells me that I need to have muscles to get one.

Or more money.
