True. I haven't actually seen a video before midnight on MTV in years. But what bothered me is the reasoning behind putting the Brittney video on later - because it was "dangerous" or whatever. It just sounded puritanical, and coming from MTV a little hypocritical.

I don't think it's reasonable to interpret "fun end of a stalagmite" as involving a personal attack. Now, if he had said stalactite, that would be different.

Personally, I think it's because men as a group are much more homophobic. There are men out there who truly believe that if they have any sexual thought about a man at all, it will make them gay for all eternity. You know, like it's contagious or something.
