Do you think your moniker conveys some persuasive effect so its worth having follow the drivel? ("This seems poorly thought out and trite, but still this is a Gattigap post. Maybe i should give it another read.")
Just wondering?

I'm not complaining about the market demanding health care. I'm complaining about those who expect that because some employers offer health care because competition demands it that, per force all employers should provide health care to their employees gratis.

You don't necesarially HAVE to be mean to post here. and there is certainly no minimum IQ, so if you stay don't assume anyone isn't "that stupid."
You are right though. The ones who come here have extra money to spend on health care. Extra in the sense that they already paid increased tax for nat'l care, and now need to pay a bill to actually recieve acceptible care.
the only question isn't "Will the poor have better care if we nationalize HC?" Of course they will. the other question is "will the majority have worse?"

Have you ever tried to buy individual health insurance? The same basic coverage is a LOT higher when purchased by an individual than when purchased by an employer. The more people under the policy, the lower the premiums. My $300 policy with my employer is about $200 more if I tried to buy it on my own. And that is as a single non-smoking female. Looking at what your employer pays for your insurance is not a good indicator of what an individual policy might cost.

you were spunky a few weeks back. I like spunk; once. I just wanted to fire a warning shot G. We can be tight, or we can enemies, but I don't fight conventionally. Friends?

It is workers agitating for better benefits. People upset about their taxes wanting Wal-Mart to provide it rather than having to pay it thru Medicaid. People who know that the guy in the next office has a sick wife who works part-time at Wal-Mart and that insurance premiums went up because that woman is using her husband's company's insurance rather than Wal-Mart's, because Wal-Mart doesn't have any. What, they aren't allowed to complain? Perhaps they are also sending messages to their own employers that a reduction in benefits would be unwelcome.

That was never my point. My point was that because most employers provide it because the market demands it, those who don't, preying upon the weakest tranche of the labor force deserve to be villified for expoliting those workers and for imposing additional externalties on the rest of us by increasing the costs of the system to those who do pay.
And health care is not gratis. Not to the employer or the employee. It is a cost to the employer, just like wages, and a benefit to the employee. Health insurance is simply a form of additional compensation that those in the marketplace who have power demand as a cost of their labor. Not paying for it is a windfall for those who exploit the disadvantaged.

I would love to see you ram it up wanker's ass in a pitying way.
Your first change to the 4th sentence makes no sense.
You are ineligible to fuck me.

Sure, in the same sense that my employer gets a windfall for paying me what they do rather than my actual value, and Ty gets a windfall for being paid a lawyer's salary to post here.
