I meant another woman offered to serve as an intermediary. Made no mention of drink, but I assume a cut would have been appreciated.

Do any of the newer, higher-end electric razors come anywhere close to a blade for shave quality? I've only used cheaper electrics, and in the farily distant past. No comparison to a blade shave. But my Mach III replacement cartridges are expensive enough, and shaving in general is annoying enough, that I might be willing to give a more modern and expensive electric a try. Any thoughts?

Dude, you know it totally depends on your skin type and heaviness of beard. The only way to know for sure is to go to the Bon and try some out. The guys I worked with all swore by the Braun, said it was the closest shave they ever had. So when I bought one for husband-unit, he screamed and said it felt like it was pulling his hair out by the roots. So I took it back. Then he tried a freakin expensive Norelco (they have twice as many blades now, is water resistant and rechargeable) and he loved it. Of course he has really sensitive skin and bleeds like the Bayone bleeder on a bad day if he uses a blade.

So try a couple and try to find someone who knows what the hell they're talking about to try to steer you through the decision.

I couldn't agree more. I tried a few and settled on the Braun Synchro system (the self-cleaning one) and love it. YMMV.

So, one can return electric razors? I always assumed it was like returning a bra--no can do. $100 on an electric is a far bigger risk than $8.99 on the Mach III promo.

I don't think you can return it in the traditional sense, but the manufacturers often have "we guarantee you'll like it or your money back" specials, so you can essentially return it to them and get your money back. It might be a bigger hassle though, which is probably what they bank on. They probably just sterilize them and sell them as refurbished units, then.

I returned a Norelco to the company withing the trial period and got my money back without a problem.

No idea of my razor was resold ad refurbished...

It depends on where you purchase. A large department store will almost always take stuff back within 30 (YMMV) days as long as you have the receipt and the box and all the original stuff. Used stuff usually gets resold as "open box" or gets sent back to the manufacturer who offs it in any one of numerous ways (the internet, discount houses, auctions). Hell, even Costco has a refund policy.

Who says you can't return a bra? I've never heard of that. Hell I've return panties and nylons (unused) with no problems.

I've never tried myself. Maybe I'm thinking of panties or swimsuits, but I thought most stores had "no returns on intimate apparel" signs. Of course, some may not enforce the rule, but I thought it might even be a state health code thing.

You're right on the swimsuits, but that is mostly because they're seasonal. Again, depends on the store, but as long as it is washed, many deparments stores will take back intimate apparel.

Sorry guys but nothing beats a straight edge shave - Got a Magic Striaght Edge shaver - no neeed to sharpen.
You get some double edge blades (that's the one with a blade on each side) - snap them in half and wha-la, brand new clean blade.
It takes a staedy hand and lots of practice but it finishes as smooth as a virgin's inner thighs!

Quite impressive when you offer to help a woman shave her pubic's!! - leave their triangle perfect! (or any other shape she wishes - gotten pretty good at doing hearts too) and squeaky clean - but you better not dare to cut her!
