First of all, Michael Jackson was the man and you liked his pre-Bad albums and still like the stuff he did then, now. If you say otherwise, you're full of shit.

Second of all, I am talking about Rockit, which was a precursor to rap music and drew heavily from Funk, so you can suck it hard on that one too.

I loved the Pointer Sisters (Jump and I'm So Excited to name two fun songs).

Weird Al was crap, but we knew it and laughed most of the time anyway (especially with Eat It).

We wanted to watch Quiet Riot, Pat Benatar, Men at Work and Clash videos (or, in some cases, video) too. But, let's face it, the pickings on Friday Night Videos were slim.

I don't know how old you were in the early to mid 80s, but I think it's funny that you're acting like you were some sort of music snob.

TM
You left out Billy Idol.

And Big Country. "In a Big Country"

I recall it being a big deal when FNV showed the Asia video of the kid committing suicide after MTV banned it.

Holy freakin cow. I am probably viewing this way out of context because I haven't been paying attention lately, but please tell me this particular one is not true. The rest of your points are perfectly fine, but this one may be a ban-able offense.

Why are you being so mean to 12 year-old Thurgreed? With his high-top fade and teeny-tiny shorts? I bet he slept on a mini-princess waterbed back then too.

You're about to lose control and you don't think you like it?

Coltrane, I don't think reading stuff on a computer screen is going to relieve your nausea.

Why did you leave the sweater thing alone? I'm sad.

FWIW, I ordered Italian last night from Puttanesca and I refrained from any dessert. That was so hard. Apparantly their desserts are pretty decent.

Maple in a coffee drink is disgusting. Maple should only flavor candy or pancakes.

Pumpkin is for pies or cheesecake. The rest is bastardization of coffee.

If lovin' the Pointer Sisters is wrong, then I don't want to be right!

Then jump for my love
Jump in and feel my touch
Jump if you want to taste my kisses
In the night then
Jump, jump for my love
Jump, I know my heart can make you happy
Jump in, you know these arms
Can fill you up
Jump, you want to taste my kisses
In the night then
Jump, jump for my love

When you are next to me
Ooh, I come alive
Your love burns inside
Ooh, it feels so right
Come to me if you want me tonight

I had a badass perm. And Chuck Taylors. And shoulder pads. And pink LA Gear high-tops with pink laces. Actually, I think the LA Gears had 3 sets of laces. Because that was cool.

Tired topic. It was dumb and played out the last time I brought it up. Besides, it's only fun needling dtb with that topic. And I figured once ppnyc admitted she does it, dtb would go home and burn every sweater she owns.
