They want advice.

You say, "Good luck making the decision. I hope everything goes well for you." When pressed for more opinions, you say, "wow, I don't know. I'd just weigh the pluses and minuses and then make my decision from there."

Offer the same statement to both parties.

Your HD ready set is for crap on standard television because there's too much interpolating and recreating and digitizing to make fit going on. Get the HDTivo and be done with it. Baller like you can afford $1000.
DirectTV is phasing it out. Disagreement with Sony. Their new DVR is due out this Spring. We're waiting for that one instead of shelling out $1k on phased out technology. But I'm not as big on spending money as NHF is, so factor that into the analysis.

Because you took my criticism of the movie personally, you thought you would "get" me with an attack on my avatar and the movie it's from, which is stupid. I said so. You thought you nailed me again because I post a lot.

But you sure got me with your plan to get photos of badass black men up on the board. That's probably the first time...oh wait. No. Typical lazy response is to find a funny looking black guy and say, "Hey, you're black. This is you!" You weren't even the first to invent this.

All of this leads me back to the following: Spend more time studying movies that show you what reality looks like.

Thanks for the recap; I know I don't speak only for myself when I admit to having had a tough time following the back and forth.

Then you moved in for the kill, happy to have a reason to call me Stoopid. Then I implied YOU were Stoopid by virtue of your unfunny avatar and high propensity to hit "refresh" all day long. As expected, the whole thing climaxed in a proliferation of photos of well dressed, badass black men being posted. Happy Munday.
Excuse me, but while bad ass, Freddy "Boom Boom" Washington was not well dressed.

I'm with you -- although it is possible that it will all work out just peachy, the high downside risk simply isn't worth it. I'd suggest to Friend #1 that she/he look for another contract gig if he/she really wants out of the BigFirm treadmill. Friend #2 ought to be smart enough to realize this, and ought to tell #1 that The Man is tight with the relationship partner at the outside firm, and she/he can't outsource the project.

OK, never mind. Take the redickulous black avatar of your choice from above.
I think you think your post is clearer on your point than it actually is. Are you saying that all the black avatar suggestions amounts to racism such that they might as well posted a black person eating watermelon? If so, what does "Michael Row the boat ashore" have to do with it?

You can explain on pm if you like.

Enourage Friend #2 to take the job, undermine Friend #1, and take Friend #1's job. Friend No. 1 needs the time off anyways, and you'll have done them both a favor.

I've heard Viagra is sometimes used in conjunction with treatment for depression.

Um, you need to check your numbering system. This makes no sense.

Thanks, all. It seems like a crap idea to me, given the personalities involved.

About an insult to me

Was there a recent post by the hairless consig where he says sometghing like the following:

After five long years of misery, to think
that I would meet up with someone so obviously out of
her mind is beyond all rational thought

If so, can someone please provide me the link?

"after five years of misery blah blah blah

Yes, but at least those give you a nice respite from the game.
