Metro Café. Metro Café is basically an informal Serbian restaurant disguised as an American diner, or at least an American diner that sometimes serves a Serbian dish or two. There may be spareribs grilled with lots of garlic; a grilled trout; or sarma, a mixture of chopped meat and rice wrapped in capsules made of collard greens. Or a heap of long-braised pork shoulder that splits the difference between Serbia and Kentucky. 11188 Washington Place, Culver City, (310) 559-6821. Breakfast and lunch seven days, 7 a.m.–3 p.m., dinner Tues.–Sun. 6–10 p.m. No alcohol. Parking in the Travelodge lot. AE, MC, V. Lunch or dinner for two, food only, $12–$24. American Serbian.

I saw this one also but it looks pretty lame. I can't believe in all of California there is no Serbian restaurant. There are like five Serbia Orthodox Churches in the San Francisco Bay Area - Where do these people eat?. I can't seem to find even a Yugoslavian restaurant or a Balkan restaurant. This just sucks.

Care to explain to the class why you have such a desperate hankering for Serbian food?

I met a Hot (unbelievably hot - ask Less) Serbian girl last night and I told her I would take her to a Serbian restaurant. I don't know if she was on drugs or what be she said she would love to go to a Serbian restaurent with me. I figured there had to be one somewhere in the Bay Area.
Now I can't find one. Total nightmare.

Did I teach you nothing?

Be thankful. Once the Serbian population gets to a certain percentage (I think 1 in 1,000,000), the land becomes divinely ordained to belong to Serbia, and they invade. See, e.g. Kosovo.

the babyjesus, like all children (or the parents thereof who actually care for them enough to take an interest in their lives), would be able to tell you that Beaker is a Muppet Show Muppet, and not Sesame Street.

Cook at home - not for the first date. You have to lull them into complaceny before you go for the jugular like that. I need a restaurant.

My Serbian friend in El Cerrito is partial to Cafe Raj in Albany, but he'll slum at Brennan's in Berkeley or Le Cheval in Oakland if I ask him to.

There also appears to be many Serbian places in Toronto.
I saw something about a place in Oakland, but it appears to be gone now.
Looks like you're stuck going to Culver City. Wherever that is.
During my research, I landed on a chat room area where LA Serbians were discussing stuff. You might want to ask them.
