Hah! Made you look

Serious question, since yesterday an odd thing has been happening with my cats. In the past the bigger one who is about 15 lbs has dominated the smaller one who is about 7 lbs. Well, starting yesterday the most amazing yowling, hissing, odd kitty noises have come out of the little one's mouth. She is chasing the big one around the house, whacking at her, literally cornering her. She actually trapped her in the bedroom closet.

One person suggested I get a water gun and squirt the little one when she is behaving like this which I plan on doing, but has anyone ever experienced a role reversal like this in their pets before?

It's a little freaky.

Hey, I didn't know. I'm sorry, I am clearly in the minority here anyway. Name away. I just hate seeing baby announcements from my friends with just the funniest names, that were clearly an effort to be different. Well guess what, they certainly were.

Your tender concern for others is one of your most winning qualities Penske. Unless it's just a quality you're lifting from one of your socks.

I agree. And my tastes are suspect anyway. I still say no to Wilbert and Ernestine. I am adamant about that.

Is little pussy much younger than big pussy? Maybe little pussy is finally coming into em's own?

Are they the same sex? Even neutered/spayed cats have been known to show some signs of "heat."

When was the last time that big pussy was checked by a vet? Sometimes a sick pussy will be attacked by its pussy-pals.

Or, your pussies could just be playing. What appears painful to you could merely be harmless pussy-play.

Obviously people who think that way are stupid, and as such their thoughts lack validity. Sorry, but just remember, apropros of none of this, Penske Loves You Too.

They are both pretty old. One is 13 and one is 10. They are the same sex and though it would be amusing, I do not think they are lesbians.

I am thinking if it doesn't stop in a couple of days I will take both pussies to the vet. It seemed to happen after I gave big pussy but not little pussy a bath. Perhaps little pussy thinks big pussy is vulnerable. I have noticed that big pussy seems to have slowed down a bit over the past year or so. Maybe she is just getting older and little pussy has had enough of being pushed around.

I don't think they are just playing, because big pussy looks terrified and quite confused.

Oh and yes, they are nuetered.

And yet another death

INDIANAPOLIS — Estel Wood "Ed" Kelley, co-chairman of The Steak 'n Shake Co. (SNS) and a food industry executive credited with introducing Americans to brands such as Tang, Grey Poupon mustard and Cool Whip, has died. He was 86.

In his honor, we must all involve one of his food inventions in our next sexual foray.

Man, New Yorkers are fucked up. Here, it's more like "Oh, good idea! Let's put all the toys in a big communal circle!"

All y'all have sucky stupid names. Except me. And anyone who shares my name.

I would attribute the growing popularity of Freya/Freja to Mary Balogh, but I'm biased.

I'm hearing "Don't let him use that, that's yours" in a somewhat shrill and abrasive accent.

I think it's time for a coffee break.

Not quite the same reversal, but my little cat has always terrorized my big one. Squirting doesn't really help, unless you are around them with a spray bottle 24/7. The vet suggested pampering the little one a bit - petting him first, feeding him first, etc - so he didn't feel the need to assert territoriality so much. That worked minimally well at best; the little one still jumps on the big one most of the time.... except, every couple of weeks or so, the big one seems to figure out "I can kick this little pussy's ass" and proceeds to do just that.

My view -- no point in fighting the pecking order/food chain. They'll figure it out themselves, and if they get too annoying you can always microwave 'em.
