1 of 2 things:
1 He wanted someone to ask so he could say he overheard Sam Jackson say it to a director on set and thought it sounded buff

or

2 He was playing to an old sterotype that black women don't like recieving oral sex.*

* actually I think it was black men don't like doing it, like Italian men don't (see Sopranos season 2), he may be vaguely racist and xenophobic.

Don't like it or do like it? I thought bnb was saying she'd give up the bourbon and blow for just a lot of oral sex (receiving)? But, honestly, I wasn't paying super close attention. And I know not of a stereotype involving black women and oral sex, so there you go.

good point. I thought "picked bourbon and blow over os" was the black woman reference, but he did mean the other, so I'm down to explaination #1.

Phrase

What is that phrase that ends "with a bullet"? Is it like "On my list of most annoying coworkers, ______ is currently #5, with a bullet" indicating that they are quickly moving toward #1?

John Cusak's character used it in that movie based on the Nick Hornby book about the guy who owned a record store. I had no luck googling "with a bullet." And it does not seem to be in Wikipedia.

This is killing me.

Yes, that's the context. Probably originated with annoying DJ's (like Casey Kasem) reporting on the movement of a Top 40 song going up the chart either quickly, or placing high right off the bat.

The movie you are thinking of is High Fidelity if that helps.

Very helpful in the googling area. Apparently it was actually "#5 with a bullet" in the movie -- funny how the mind holds onto these things.

Beating Str8 to the punch, "with a bullet" originated with the Billboard Hot 100 chart which designated songs moving quickly up the charts with a bullet(point). Popularized by annoying DJs like Casey Kasem. I can hear Casey saying it in his odd cadence.

The flipside of the stereotype of black men NOT wanting to perform oral sex is that black women are always demanding oral sex. This stereotype, like many of them, seems to have some basis in fact, based on my experience.

The "who died and made you . .. " was a colorful rhetorical flourish, your collective appreciation of which made my day. Considering how this day has gone though, that ain't sayin much.

This is the problem with this Board and why no people post here. We have to read about Paigow's nasty, liver-spotted ridden twat all day. Can we get a break?

P.S. Dear Paigow, You said you were off the market but I would not date anyone who would date you. You should only date people who wouldn't date you.
