Because it wouldn't have beeen a big deal. The fundamental difference between a white person using racial slurs toward a black and a black using racial slurs toward a white is this country's history.
Plus, there is no racial slur that a black can use that can come close to the horror of the "n" word in the way that Richards used it.
People seem to forget this country's centuries of mistreatment* of blacks.
*This word doesn't describe it.

Yeah. To add to traffic shit that we always complain about, I don't know if it was the case yesterday, but on some previous nights a nearby road to the airport (the 105) was closed because they were filming scenes from the latest Bruce Willis Die Hard flick. LAX and other officials were worried that people would see the pyrotechnics and think there was an actual terrorist attack going on.
Wait. That was supposed to be funny, somehow. Let me try that again.
