FYI, FWIW, I am not such a fan of ice cream cake. In fact, I prefer cake to be warm. And chocolate. So if Fudgie the Whale is ice cream, I don't want Fudgie. If Fudgie the Whale is just a chocolate cake, please put my (corner -- lots of icing!) piece in the microwave for about 20 seconds. Yes, I know the icing will melt but no, I don't care. The cake will soak it up.
I have a conf. call in 5 min. The sucky part of that is I can't go get a pastry right now. The good part is that I'm forcing outside counsel to be on a 6 pm (his time) conf call. I don't really like this outside counsel.
Does this make me a bad person?

They all look to be about fourteen years old. On the plus side, I terrify them.

Another plus: They elevate lunch beyond the usual sandwich.

You can have it all. I won't interfere. Unless I'm really hungry.

Cut them some slack, ironweed. You remember what it's like to be a summer. It's just the beginning of summer and already you're coming down on them like lo-berry on Thurgreed. Cut them some slack, ironweed. Perhaps you should leave recruiting to those in your firm with better people skills.

The repetition: intentional rhetorical device or result of splicing two posts together?
And by the way, I was never no summer associate sorbet-sniffing beeyotch. I worked my way into an Apex Tech night law degree cleaning spittle trays for punks like you all summer long.
Can't wait to see the looks on their faces when I take them to their first summer lunch at the Blarney Stone. It's all you can eat at the steam tables, kids, and the OTB is right next door.

Piggy the pig cake, Fudgie the Whale cake, and Cookie the Puss cake all really set my orange chocolate meltaway (new at starbucks!) up for failure. It couldn't compete. I was destined to be disappointed.
OTOH, the new tortilla soup at Baja Fresh is good. And features slices of avocado. I may already have noted this.
I think the guy in the office next to me is having a nervous breakdown.

This weekend, I kickboxed for five hours and got kicked in the head twice, then did some high-quality legal work, then went to a barbecue where everyone was at least 5 years younger, played a drinking game called "flip cup" (I KICKED ASS, btw), drank some more, then did some more high-quality legal work, then had lots and lots of sex with a guy who may or may not be my boyfriend.
You all have SO much to learn from me.

Is the question about his boyfriendhood based on your age disparity or is it bc you haven't had the "are you my boyfriend" conversation (hi sunny, hi th!!!!)
I say, call him your paramour. Its got kinda a Catherine Denueve kinda kick to it, non?
