Hospitalization rate is a useful measure because death lags exposure by more than three weeks, and number of cases depends on how much testing is done. But is there regular reporting of hospitalization across jurisdictions?

As with all "this time is different" predictions about Trump, I guess I'm likely to be wrong.

Trump loves this. He is getting 90-120 minutes a day of free campaign rallies to millions.

But no one knows if getting Covid-19 means being immune from getting it again. It's a pretty good guess that there is limited immunity (year to three) but there are outliers.

Pay attention. A lot of bad shit. Revolves around the $. Most of the third world has nationalized health care. Panem or Gilead. Coming soon.

I’ve not paid much attention to politics because I remain of the conviction that if this goes more than May without some rollout of a reopening, we’re in Mad Max territory.
Who cares who’s in charge after the summer of the unemployment rate is 25% and the banks have given up on bothering to try to collect?
My wife said tonight, “We’re going to get robbed possibly.” For what? Seeds? Gold? When folks go feral, they want immediately fungible stuff.
This country’s so broke crime didn’t even increase post-2008. What would be different now?

Now I regret telling anyone I have so much toilet paper.

Yeah, I'm looking up where you live. I, however, (to all the bots combing the interwebs for people proudly announcing their TP purchases) am only stealing a roll or two at time from my office.

the missus is my procurer. She was fixing to hit send on a 40 roll shipment, a 40 roll was available, but then she bounced out to check something and by the time time she got back in the 40 rolls were gone. {sad face}

I’m not getting a gun until I really fucking need one. And when you really need one, are you going to go wait for one? No. I’ve a friend who’ll give me a really nice one.
But if you need physical gold, you might really need a gun, and if you really need a gun, you need seeds far more than that.
I was inclined to get it (and seriously think I may have had it... I drink and workout thru everything, never see docs or take any pain meds except weed and alcohol, and have random fevers and strange physical issues all the time, so I could entirely have missed it), but if it confers no immunity, fuck that.
But I will get it. I have a fancy mask and wipes and all, but I like going to Whole Foods a lot.
And of all the damned indignities, why not die of this? Seems perfectly excusable.
“He bravely sought decent salmon steaks, arugula, and goat cheese. And then he went down like the infantry in 1917... But we had a grand dinner.”
My only request is “Road to Nowhere” be followed by “Let it Bleed”immediately before they run me through a woodchipper.

Paper towels. That’s The Precious now.
Somebody, probably the Duke Bros, or maybe the Bunker Hunts, cornered the paper towel market and have driven it sky high.
Where’s Bernie? I’ve spilled coffee and don’t know what to do. It’s three days old and only getting stickier! Socialism now (at least for the quicker picker uppers).
