No, no, no, no, no.
Will Ferrell has been cast as Darren in the big screen adaptation of "Bewitched." Nicole Kidman, doppelganger to Elizabeth Montgomery, remains the front runner for Samantha.
GodDAMNit. Say what you will about Jim Carrey; he was born to play that role.

Her husband must be sticking around for a reason, and it ain't her brains, homecooking or ability to get her clothes into the hamper. This is one show you people talk about that I have actually watched and from what I have seen she is otherwise a royal fucking pain in the ass whiny little prima donna. It also looks like she came of age, got married and totally let loose -- getting drunk and serial fucking.
He's no dummy -- he's on the road and probably can get some free ass anytime he wants so he does and then returns to Jessica until it becomes totally apparent that her career will go nowhere and he won't make money off of her and then he leaves. But for now, he gets to fuck her which probably isn't bad if she keeps her mouth shut.

We finally agree on something.

What does this mean for the tool table?
To a part of the brain that registers pain, the distressful reaction from social rejection is just as great as from a poke in the eye
In an experiment at UCLA, researchers monitored the blood flow in the brains of people who had been led to believe that other players in a computer ball game were intentionally excluding them and refusing to let them play with the group.
The shock and distress of this rejection registered in the same part of the brain, called the anterior cingulate cortex, that also responds to physical pain.

And, in person, Carrey is supposed to be a real dick, which should be another requisite for winning the role.

Well, this explains why neither social rejection nor having my teeth drilled without novacaine fazes me -- my anterior cingulate cortex is fucked up. I would like to thank fringey for solving this lifelong mystery for me.

It's not fucked up -- you are just more evolved.

I've known this for years. However, it is an easily treatable condition.
I prescribe hallucinagenics. Preferably peyote, but mushrooms will do. In a pinch, even a bit of acid will help.
(edited to add, and if you follow this advice, the drilling is actually fun!)

And yet I still cry in the supermarket aisle when reading Hallmark cards. Go figure. More evolved in some areas, less in others.
edited to add to Gtothe3 -- the drilling is kinda fun anyway because the anticipation created by wondering if I might actually feel something at some point is a rush.

If you like, I could prepare an outline of your deficiencies for you. It may be helpful. You can decide whether I PM it to you or post it. Posting it really I think will bring the most benefit to you.

What are you doing, holding out for 13 more posts? I'd hold off for Tuesday, unless you want your personal K to be a discussion of physics.
(edited to reflect additional posts; damnit, go home).

Post away, my queen. For me, our relationship is somewhat akin to this one time that I really liked a guy and he didn't like me and was mean all the time and in some sick way I think that is why I liked him. You are a bit unobtainable for me, a challenge. Perhaps if you publicly list my deficiencies I can either correct them or else the act of my suffering through the event will win you over and we can be buddies -- either way, I win.
