2. Why do some women walk in crowded areas swinging their arms wide enough to cop a quick feel?

3. Why is it that the stuff that tastes so good is so bad for you and the stuff that tastes so bad is so good for you?

Snowflakes

Thanks to whomever posted this. I was quite surprised at how happy making a snowflake made me. I am sitting with a big happy grin on my face right now.

But you pronounce it "CROOK-ed," not "CROOK'D." You pronounce cooked "COOK'D," not "COOK-ed."

TM, the good tasting things aren't bad for you, They just want you to think they are. Embrace your animal fats.

The worst "musician" ever

Justin Timberlake. I knew there was some song called Body rock or somethign that I have heard in passing during my weightlifting class (as opposed to personal training which is for narcissists). It sounds like some castrated male singing to musak and the song sounds born to be used by Bally's (more so than Pink's horrid song). I wasnt even sure it was really a real song. Then I flip to the American Music Awards while Agassi and Federer are switching sides. Justin Timberlake sings this song. He also sang that other horrible worst song ever, Cry me a river. The question is, how can ANYONE, even if they are 10, possibly think this is good music? It is unspeakably horrible. I dont get it. I can admit that Bye Bye Bye, while total schlock, had a certain catchiness, as did Oops I did it again. BUt this Timberlake shit? I dont get how this guy is a star. and getting nominated. does anyone understnad this?

and how many more britney tv shows can there be?

oh, and I remembered to post that I saw Lindsey DAvenport all dressed up, and while I normally think Not Attractive, she was actually quite fetching. weird.

Legally Blonde 2

I am now dumber for seeing this.

The first one was light and a little funny - something I can basically deal with b/c the GF enjoyed it. But 2? Her quote about 1/2 way thru: "this is the worst fucking movie I've ever seen."

No one mails it in like Luke Wilson.

My favorite Portland episode was Stoudamire getting arrested for possession at the airport. While going through security he took his bag of weed, carfully rolled in aluminum foil, out of his pocket and placed it on the screening device.

Damon Stoudamire, foiled again.
That will teach him to wrap it in aluminum foil. Get the man some baggies. What was he thinking?

3. It isn't always so.
4. 11:31 Make that 11:29. Well now it is 11:31. Oh fuck.

Holy Shit. You are my SP. What a shameless/obvious piece of shit money-grab. It had a grand total of um, let's see, zero funny or interesting moments.

And what a complete waste of Bob Newhart's talents.

Also saw:

Hulk -- I had mixed feelings about this one. Great action sequences. Too much backstory on how Hulk became Hulk -- Dude, fucking smash some shit, already.

Not enough character development, otherwise -- I was completely uninterested in any of the characters as people. I fucking HATED, the split screen gimmick. It didn't work at all.

And the ending, WTF? I admit by the end my attention was wandering, but I had no idea what happened in the final fight sequence after his father transformed. Overall -- Meh.

Rented Finding Nemo for the kids. It was the best movie of the three -- and not insufferable for adults, much like other Pixar fare.

"Family" movies interest me in an abstract sort of way. I am vaguely aware that they have been growing more tolerable in recent years (starting, perhaps, with Babe), but I'm somewhat curious as to why - why, after years of "G" ratings, even PG ratings, meaning unwatchable crap, why improve now? I am also reminded of my mother's tale of going to her first movie - Bambi. I think she was 4 or 5. She was perfectly horrified, and, when Bambi's mother got shot, she wouldn't cry, because she thought that movies were about being happy and she didn't understand. She was pretty traumatized by the whole thing, actually.

Anyhow, random poll, which I am sure some of the parents here will find edifying and useful:

What is your favorite "kids" movie generally enjoyable by adults?

Chicken Run, but it is a near thing with Babe (I), which was really deliciously evil.

BR(I also must recommend School of Rock, which really, inexplicably, didn't suck. And if your idea of a good kids' movie is Jean Claude van Damme wearing little more than oil over his bulging muscles, The Quest is pretty amusing - fun fight scenes and Roger Moore camping it up like a drag queen, but still pretty kid appropriate)C

Monsters, Inc. was pretty good. I enjoyed that one. Also Shrek has to be on the list.

I enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean a great deal, but i wouldn't call that one a pure "kids" flick.

Babe is quite good - Lalala!

Not movies per se, but the Wallace and Grommet shorts have to be my favorite. I heart Shawn!

I saw the Wizard of Oz yesterday - it was much longer than I remember. Or maybe I'm just crabby and impatient right now. Yes, that's probably it.

I didn't like Shrek at all, but Monsters, Inc. was very cute.

Any bets on the weight of the hulk-child? I'll find out tomorrow.
