Raspberry-peach-yogurt smoothie and huge latte. I will have to supplement with something else later; I'm already getting hungry.

Most important meal of the day
Veggie sausage.
And I thought The Big Lebowski was the official Best Film of the FB. But if we're talking 80s comedies, may I suggest Better Off Dead?

Soapdish was the greatest comedy of 1991.

I love that movie, but, unlike the train scene in Trading Places, the restaurant scene with the burger animation, actually detracts from the brilliance of the picture.

Billy Ray gives secret knock.
Louis responds with secret knock.
Louis: Who is it?
Billy Ray Valentine: Open the door, man!

I'm not saying do away with the whole train sequence. They needed to get Beeks out of the picture somehow. Maybe this is like the 2006 yankees--too many stars. They should have left Belushi and Franken out, or had them commit to smaller parts.

(someone please insert picture of Val Kilmer's character wearing his keys or card or whatever backwards -- I can't find one, but I remember it, crystal clearly)

Top Secret. It's a really good movieeeeee. Also with Val Kilmer.
Whatever happened to Val Kilmer. He used to be incredibly hot. And now he's just incredibly creepy. Speaking of creepy, I have a plaster cast of his face. He has an extremely large forehead.

They actually didn't have to take Beeks out of the picture at all. Louis, being the expert in commodities that he was, might have known what the form of the crop report looked like and could have substituted 1 of 2 variations after making the initial switch. That way, Beeks could have simply delivered the wrong report and much of the train scene could have been eliminated, giving us more time with Louis and Billy Ray.
I should have written my senior thesis on Trading Places.

No. But here and elsewhere, I have heard y'all's cries.
Mostly I'm amused by these stories. It's like a cross between a narrative of disaster refugees and a community theater presentation of the " I am Spartacus!" scene.

Medical emergency
Aside from "quit posting" and "quit using the bberry," any ideas on how to cure a bad case of bberry/mouse thumb?
Ouch.

What if Beeks had read it before, and reviewed it again after the switch. He would have known about the change, and tipped off the Dukes.
Of course, all Beeks needed to do was call with the contents of the report--it was all of one or two sentences when read at the news conference.
But the brilliance of the movie goes beyond the plot and dialog. Consider two examples:
1) The opening sequence, contrasting the life of the Dukes with the life of Billy Ray, all set to the overture from the Marriage of Figaro (it's an opera).
2) The use of the hanging portraits in the main room of the Heritage Club when Beeks frames Winthorp--each of the portraits is captured to appear to be looking with disdain at Winthorp.

I'm going on Friday. I cannot fucking wait.
It was cold here this morning, in the 60s. I got scolded by the school nurse for failing to send in a sweatshirt for the Brazenette.
