I've seen more black male/white female and more white male/asian female couples than their counterparts. I remember a Spike Lee interview about 10 years ago where he commented that white men dated fantastic black women while black men didn't fare so well with white women. That seemed far more vitrolic than factual to me.
Growing up in the Bay Area and attending college in state, interracial relationships seemed common, especially white men/asian women. I think that's based primarily on stereotypes of Asian women as more docile. I've seen websites for men to marry Asian women, but I've never seen a website where African women in search of visas (or perhaps true love) promoted their availability to men.
I don't really have a laminated list for TV, but...
The Daily Show
NFL (not College)
Changing Rooms (not Trading Spaces)
Letterman (not Leno)
Aqua Teen Hunger Foice
Sealab 2021
I seem to catch reruns more often than originals. That's how I got into Six Feet Under.

Seems to me that htere are way more black men white women than vice versa, but not really that many of each. Especially in DC , which is odd given the black population here is a majority.
I agree that there are way more white men-asian women then vice versa and anythign else. Three of my white male single freinds, all Jewish btw, who live in NYC have all gone asian in the past year (one has been a die hard rice daddy since I met him in college). Only one has gone back to caucasian, prob bc the third guy is still with the asian chick. It seems to me that the white men going asian are predominantly jewish- has anyone else noticed this? My rice daddy friend, who just got his phD in psychology admits that he is into asian chicks bc he has a hardcore jewish mother who is very alpha on him. Also noteworthy is that he likes his asian chicks to speak as little english as possible- the more FOB the better. Apparently he wants them to just sit there and giggle and not really say anything. Just spread their legs and say "You aneemaaaaaaalllll"WHich I guess makes him mostly a misogynist. I dont really iknow why I am evenfriends with this guy except that he is quite entertaining.
WHy are people who get phDs in psychology such psychos?

The google image search. "smilie umbrella" actually turned it up.

I've never really dug their clothes, but it's been a while since I went into a BB store. I'll have to check it out.

Who'd You Rather? Marilyn v. Gwenyth

But that ass.
That is not a hollywood ass. It is at least three times the size of what you and I would consider the norm in Hollywood. Her legs are quite thick too. Not fat-thick. But thick in any way doesn't usually fit the Hollywood stereotype, right?
Beyonce has a similar build. She is being cast because that line may be shifting. It's not going to happen over night, but if Anna Nicole could magically transform herself to what she looked like in her prime, she would be up there too. Each is an example of non-stereotypical body types. Aside from Anna (who is doing "well" for a different reason), each of these women is doing quite well. I would argue that they are doing well precisely because heterosexual men like these builds (among other reasons of course).
Surely if there is a place near or at the top of Hollywood today for those body types, there would be a place for Marilyn. I can't believe I'm arguing with anyone about this. Like RT said, she is timeless. Some beauty transcends trends.

I've looked at photos of MM compared to Beyonce and JLo. MM is not quite as thick Beyonce, who is not quite as thick as JLo.
Beyonce has a bit too much junk in the trunk for my taste, but she's tall enough to offset a good bit of it. JLo is too damn short to offset any of her ass problems. Beyonce's ass is also more round than JLo's. JLo is just wide. Either way, the problem with both of them is the size of the hips - if they were regular chicks you were dating, you'd be frightened about how their asses would look around 40. I know a chick with wider hips who works out like crazy and has a killer six pack stomach... but her ass stays wide. The scariest thing about thick legs is the possibility of "cankles" (where the ankle is subsumed by a layer of fat or muscle that makes it look like the calf runs straight into the foot) - that's not good.
If MM went on some crazy Atkins diet and got a personal trainer, she could tone her legs to perfection because they aren't thick. I think that's the important difference between JLo and Beyonce and MM.
Halle is simply a genetic freak. Comparing her with JLo or Beyonce is like racing a Mercedes and a microbus. Different leagues alltogether. I'll do as far as to say Halle is far above MM. She's just gifted - she might be "perfect" in the same way as Gisele, Crawford, Farrah, Raquel Welch and Brigitte Bardot and other beauty icons of that level.
S(Halle could hit the runway if she wanted - neither Beyonce nor JLo could do that with any credibility)D

I agree that it was a great game, though if Kansas makes their fts, it's a different outcome.
Also, though I've never really been a Jim Boeheim fan, I thought it was classy that he basically appologized to DC, Sherm Douglas and Ronny Seikaly for never getting them to the winners circle.
Next topic:
Carmelo Anthony: money or a bust? He will almost certainly go in the lottery this year, and I have to admit that he was, at times, mesmerizing. Still, I can't help but try and imagine him playing against the likes of Jalen Rose and T-Mac (two big guards) and getting eaten alive.
Nick Collison: what a performance 19 pts, 21 boards, but couldn't stick the fts at the end. IMHO, he'll be a decent middle-of-the-rotation pro, but will never be a star.
Heinrich=Bryce Drew with more quickness and better D. He needs to get a bit more physical before he'll have an impact at the next level.

Were I a GM, I would take Melo ahead of LeBron and possibly ahead of Darko. Melo has incredible game, plus, I think he is taller than LeBron who looks as good as Melo playing again boys. Those high school boys have never taken fewer than three years to develop their potential in the NBA and as long as seven years for Jermaine O'Neil. Darko is going to be very, very good.
I am interested to see how Hakim Warrick develops. If he can start eating and hitting the weights, he can really do some damage at the next level. His athleticism is remarkable.
Biggest potential bust: TJ Ford. He's shorter than AI without a hint of AI's toughness.

I don't know about taking Melo before LeBron. I guess it depends on the level of desperation of the team with the pick. LeBron will put more buts in seats, but I think Melo has the bigger upside once he puts some weight on. I think both players will ver good pros. One thing I like about LeBron is that he is already showing a strong desire to make his teammates better. It remains to be seen, however, whether he will have the head to play D against someone other than 17 year olds.
Darko will be a star. He's Dirk Nowitski with an inside game, and is the closest thing I've seen to Larry legend in quite some time (though he doesn't have the consistent J yet).
I agree on the TJ Ford assessment. Plus, he wasn't all that in the tournament, and I think his stock dropped somewhat.
I am curious to see who goes AFTER Melo, LeBron and Darko (also, in what order those three end up going).
Warrick: he's got physical talent, but needs more time, both on thecourt and in the weight room. How funny was Packer last night calling him the "Ballet Dancer"?!?

size ???? and size ?!@#$!!
well, speaking of indie films, wasn't "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" the most successful in history ($200 million and counting, last I heard) - she may be a flash in the pan, but what a flash!
for me, I find the difficulty with women's clothes is not the mismatching, but that they just aren't readily available in sizes that fit me at all - 6'4", 56" chest, 42" hips, but then again, I am a guy, so why am I complaining?

Well, according to Billy Ray Valentine (Capricorn):

I cannot verify the veracity of this claim, however. Anyone?

I am sure it will be some European player we've never heard about.
Speaking of formerly unheralded Euros, I watched Tony Parker play a few weeks ago. I was surprised by how fantastic his game is off the ball (you know, the part of the game we never get to see on tv. bastards.) Plus, at under a million a year, he is about the cheapest pg in the association.

Please tell me you watch this for the comedic value of the sycophant of a host!
"Charles Nelson Reilley, you make Ghandi look like a child pornographer."
(Actually, I don't think that was his interview with CNR, but of an equally worthy luminary of stage and screen.)

I was just having this discussion the other day: Tony Parker is the man. As much as I love JKidd, if I were Popovich I would go after Brand or Jermaine O'Neal, and stick with Parker. The kid has heart, plays great D, and is developing a better J. Can you imagine a front court of Duncan with either O'Neal or Brand, with Parker running the show?!? Parker is only going to improve, and the pairing of Parker and Duncan will win rings if they stay together.
Added minimum fashion content (great hair):

Of course there are women's clothes made for men your size jl and plenty of stores that sell them. You just aren't going to find them at Macy's no matter how hard you look.
