A Public Service Announcment (with Guitars)
Go see Dave Alvin and the Guilty Men (Spree: tour dates, including such FB-friendly cities as SF, Austin, and Houston).
If you like alt-country (whatever that is), go see Dave.
If you like Los Lobos and other roots stuff, go see Dave.
If you like the blues, go see Dave.
If you like the Dead, ABB, and early 70s Stones, go see Dave.
If you like amped-up folk music, go see Dave.
If you like really great songwriting and an absolutely smoking band, go see Dave.
If you dig the Blasters, well, duh.
If your a big fan of the Killers and the Bravery, well, you should probably just stay home.
Added bonus for you Bay Area types: opening for Dave this Saturday, Los Straitjackets. Hot surf guitar and Mexican wrestling masks! What's not to like?

And another thing
I had no idea that Jillian Barbiere or however it is spelled is Canadian.
I won't be pulling that one out, though. She's very annoying.

What if I like stuff like Godsmack? Should I stay home?
And speaking of Mexican wrestling masks, on some tickets that I bought to a football game, the picture on the tickets had pictures of guys in Mexican wrestling masks similar to these

Unless he got box-office bonuses (pretty rare, but not unheard of, for novel rights holders), your money wouldn't have gone to the prick, but rather, to the studio distributing the picture and other gross players, which in this case, were probably Payne and Nicholson. So fear not!
|
But your bonus would be bigger?

By the way- if the party was moved to Detroit, we could all go curling in Windsor.

I'd work out a per-piece price instead of the hourly. I heard he pads his bill and will often churn the work.

You think? I started it probably a year ago and just couldn't get through it.
I OD'd on Jeeves and Wooster over vacation (well, not OD'd -- but partied hard, dude.)

Dear Flower, biking can be bad.
