Edwards is an empty windbag.
A bunch of moderate Republicans around here (that I have influence with) were thinking about bundiling donations to Obama so they asked that I meet with him. W. was incredibly charismatic one on one, but Obama was Charismatic and made you think he had an intelligent and had well thought out positions on everything. He is definitely a good person. Even though he is running for president, he has taken time to try and help the situation in Kenya even tough that will in no way help his candidacy. I have family in Kenya, and thanked him for what he did, but told him he should listen to his advisors when they tell him he does not have time for that kind of thing. But for him doing the right thing was more important than the Presidency.
If this guy got in he could socialize medicine and triple the income tax and everyone would go along with it.

No one can raise taxes. All they can do is roll back some of the cuts.

He has substance. What he lacks is experience. That's a big difference. The bet is he'll rise to the occasion.

Dissent.
I hear a whole lot about "change" - but nothing about the how or why. To me, that is spouting a mantra with nothing of substance behind it.
PS - I will say this, though: Just as the evangelicals are causing a rift in the GOP, this race-baiting between Obama and Hill is equally shredding the Dems.

He has substance, it is just bad substance. His election would be an economic and foreign policy disaster (kind of like Jimmy Carter).

We're getting caught up in semantics here. When I say substance, I mean that Obama has real convictions. I don't disagree with you that he doesn't know how to realize them, but that's a lack of experience to me. I think if he had more experience, he'd be telling you how he'd do what he claims he will.
I don't see the the race rift coming close to equaling the scope of problems on the GOP side.
What concerns me most is your boy's running out of money so early. WTF? He better pull it off in Florida. I don't think McCain can beat Hillary.

As opposed to Hillary? She'd be Carter in a skirt, and she'd be handcuffed with investigations from her first days in office.
It'd turn the country off to politics even more, if that's possible. If we must have a Jimmy Carter in office, let it at least be someone with credibility, which Obama does have.

Mmmmmm, deep fried. Dammit, now I want to go out for dinner rather than having something sort of not entirely unhealthy at home.

If substance is what you crave, you don't have to look far. There's enough substance on his website to meet those wonky cravings we know you have deep down inside.

So? You should see the stuff at tapmitt.com. Not very tiddy, to say the least.

Do you really think that the man doesn't have substantive views, or are you just irked that he's campaigning without belaboring them?
