Why are you sorry? I'm just happy that I found out without having to watch a CBS miniseries.

I thinking there's so much more you could have done with this.

Campaign mgr

Does this ever really help? Or is this just desperation?

WASHINGTON, Nov. 10 — Sen. John Kerry, trying to jump start his ailing bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, has fired his campaign manager. In a statement, Kerry said Jim Jordan’s job was being given to veteran Democratic operative Mary Beth Cahill and that Jordan was being offered another position.http://www.msnbc.com/news/991467.asp?0cv=CB10

He's a speedy devil at home for me, too, but it's your computer, not your cable modem

Concur. My connection at home is slower, but Ty's dinosaur is on meth anyway. It's a PowerBook G4, and I'm comparing it to the leisurely trot I'm seeing on this Pentium III at work.

You are almost my sock puppet. I have a Pentium 4 at work and an uber-cool I-mac at home.

Now I want whatever computer y'all are looking at so I can watch that dino run run run without going anywhere, rather than just loping like he does on my work computer.

It is ironic that Ty has a PC, the tool of "the Man's" oppression of the individual, while some of us who are more "conservative" use Macs, the symbol of "geek" counterculture and rebellion. It is also ironic that I have to type this message because for some reason, I feel an urge to use the "quotey fingerz", which I normally find repulsive.

"The Man" probably forces Ty to use a PC.

Being conservative doesn't prelude you from geekiness. Look at Tucker Carlson.

Ave Maria law school

a few years ago, the former owner of Domino's started a law school in "the Catholic tradition." Frankly, I haven't even seen/heard of resumes from any one there. I thought the students would be kids who didn't get into the 2nd tier school in Mi, and some scattered wingnuts. Well first Michigan bar results are out, and Ave beat U of M. Not sure any political point here, but it is surprising.

Fourth tier schools often beat higher ranked schools in bar passage percentage because they really make sure to teach all bar subjects and basically spend 3 years training their students to pass the bar. Which is obviously necessary if you go to a fourth tier school b/c it is unlikely that you'll get a job that is patient enough to give you one extra chance, the way BigLaw often does.
