a) good quote
and
b) your fantasy would be more enjoyable if you were paigow on a weekend in NYC. And if you were me, could I still be in there to watch what you would do as me?

I really have nothing much to say about the beginning of "season 2" because it's impossible to differentiate between 15 boring guys. Except for one. Munch. How the fuck do you get the name Munch, and if you do get it, how do you decide to use it as your nom de guerre on national television?
Wasn't a minor character on 90210 named Munch? And, again, it's fictional, but are there really people named Munch in this world?
If there is, I think we should send said Munch to visit Thrashers Fan, because with a name like that, he might be able to liberate her as well.

Over the next month we ended up spending an incredible amount of time together, but I don't think you could technically call it dating. We went out, we were asking each other out going to dinner, what have you, but there was no real physical interaction. So in a way, we ended up dating without realizing we were dating. This lasted about a month. Finally, one night she had me over for dinner and jumped me, the month of frustration got to be too much I guess. It was pretty funny. And there you go, relationship. It was a great relationship too, until the end when it fell apart and I had to put it out of its misery. Such things happen.
|
Ditto all of the above for my last relationship except that
1) we met at work; and
2) I asked her out first (and I'm not sure I was all that smooth about it).
The "I'm not sure if we are actually dating" thing turns out to be a pretty common scenario for most of my friends, too.

I think Richard Belzer's charecter on Homicide was Munch, at least someone was Munch on Homicide, but that might have been a last name and doesn't answer your "why would someone use this name" question.

Richard Belzer's character on Law & Order is John Munch.
I met my SO while playing soccer. We played together on a team, I asked him to join another team and brought him into the basketball circle as well. He pursued me for months before I agreed to go out with him. No fireworks aka Bobby Brady, but we are best friends and I think we balance and compliment each other nicely.
I'd like to be on vacation, but I'm much too busy.

I guess I knew I was in for this when I posted. And no, I haven't really noticed Sister Fugee on the board.
My advice to Dealtoy was for real. And, Abbakiss, I don't think he needs to ignore himself and his needs, but as an adult he should be more able to deal with all the conflicts and problems more easily than his children. Dealtoy, they are going to have problems and emotions that they don't know how to handle, and whatever you decide, you will need to be their pillar during this time, and that may mean putting yourself and your needs after them. I find great strength in religion in times like these, and I think you should gather whatever strength you can from your own.
I know I'm going to get some responses like Jesus_Just_Left_Chicago, and I have a sense of humor and can take it. But I was glad to read Leagl's advice to a new poster last weekend to just be themselves and they'd be alright. I'll try not to wear the religion on my sleeve when I post, and I'll try not to post so much that I'm annoying, but I am religious and there are times it helps and I have to just be myself. I find this board very amusing a lot of the time, but I also don't think life is just a joke and this is one of those times for Dealtoy.
But I think I would like to be all knowing for a weekend, but I'm afraid that I would have trouble putting up with everyone on the board who wasn't.
God bless!

FLOM
I watched FLOM version 2.1 last night. I think her strategy should be to pick one (or maybe 2) guys and focus ALL her attention on them from the start. That way, she has a snowball's chance in hell of getting them to think, "hey there's some instant chemistry, she's great, she's really into me, and we really have a future together." The tough part is determining early enough who's the sap who might actually think this way.
Of course, here's another way of thinking about $1,000,000. It's a 40 year annuity. After taxes, assuming reasonable earning power during that time (assuming it's not lump sum taxed up front, which is even worse), it works out to about $1,200/month.
Whoop-de-fuckin-doo.
If I'm Erin, when she's got it narrowed down to two and has decided on her man, I'd pull a Cruel Intentions: "After this show is over, I'm going to let you put it ANYWHERE." We have a winner.
So who are y'all rooting for? Erin, or the guys? I think I'm rooting for Erin.

i seem to recall hearing that the H2 had more complaints than any other vehicle with the number one complaint being poor gas mileage and the number two complaint being that it is difficult to park.
which kind of makes you wonder what kind of idiots are purchasing the things

I'm rooting for Erin. It is not only annuity -- they can choose a lump payment that is actually less than $1,000,000 ($800k or so, so Erin's would be $1.6 mil or so this time around). The Wade guy has been on morning radio here. He seems alright and I'm gonna root for him until he gets forced out. NMT though.
As an aside the former clear channel station that I wake up to now (yes, I know clear channel sux -- not like Dallas has a ton of great choices until I buck up and get satellite radio) says that it is "an Mtv radio channel". Has clear channel changed its name or was that station sold?
