And if we played by NBA rules internationally, we would destroy absolutely every team out there by 30.

Someone explain to me why FIBA has a different set of rules anyway.

It's the NBA that has the different rules. The rest of the world plays FIBA ball.

When I want to have sex, I want to concentrate on that.

That said, where one can certainly enhance the other (based on reasoned scientific hypothesis or personal or anecdotal evidence), sure, mix them up a little.

But these people who are all about having sex on drugs just because it seems like a cool idea are generally wasting drugs and sex. If I'm losing my shit staring a trees and grooving on a microbrew and some live music, I don't want to be dragged somewhere to have sex. Maybe its me... when I'm all screwed up on goofballs or booze, I just want to stay screwed up. The sex is for when I'm not screwed up and need something to do. It's a buzz that goes away immediately afterward, so you can do it anytime. You should save that for when you have to be sober. It's just good time/buzz management...

All this said, I break this senseless rule all the time because, unfortunately, the "I think I'd like to get laid" center of the brain follows no rational management plan.

I just wasted five minutes of my life and yours. Put it on my tab...

I've Been Scammed!

So I went into Sbux this morning for some coffee and external validation. I always get the same thing and know that it costs $2.17. I pulled out a five and seventeen cents. The chick behind the counter gave me my coffee, put the five in the register, the seventeen cents in the tip jar, and gave me $2.83 in change.

There was a pretty long line and I wasn't going to make the people behind me wait over seventeen cents. But now I've paid $2.34 for a cup of coffee and I have an extra 3 quarters, a nickel, and three pennies weighing down my pockets.

Anyone know a good lawyer?

besides actually calling travelling and 3 seconds (rule enforcement) and the larger key what rules are you talking about? the larger key doesn't explain why we get burned at the 3 line. the larger key does negate much or our inside play, true, but it would seem like it should also open the key more for driving.

Watching the last Olympics i just kept thinking if Prince or Bowen, or hell Artest, was on the court there would not be so many open 3s. I know Prince turned down an offer, don't know about the other two (well I assume they didn't ask Ron).

That's like saying, the English play cricket by a different set of rules. The rest of the world sets the standard. Uh...ok.

Why I pay by cc.

Going through the day knowing you've not tipped, don't have a pocketful of change and are 2.17 miles closer to your dream vacation: priceless.

I was away at a youth b-ball tournament and disconnected from the news.

I know no entire NBA team will ever agree to be the Olympic team, or this National team, but really someone needs to get past throwing 12 scoring stars together.

In the Olympics we lost because no one would guard the 3 point line. Some team broke the Olympic record for 3s against the USA- at a time when the Pistons and Spurs were the two best NBA teams and either team would have shut down any of these national teams.

Whoever coaches next time need to bring some defensive role players.
I always thought it'd be cool if they let the team that won the NCAA championship be the National Team. Kids who know how to play together well, are generally well coached and I think college ball is closer to international play.

It was only about 45 seconds of my life, but I'll put your change in the tip jar.

FIBA is the international standard-making body, of which the US is a participating member. The NBA chooses to have a different set of rules. What's confusing about that?

A friend of mine is in charge of writing and maintaining the Laws of Cricket. If I didn't find the sport to be such a mindnumbing exercise, I'd think that job was pretty cool.

Bowen was one of the final cuts from the team. They didn't invite Artest.

The bouncing pitches still amaze me. How do you throw one and how in the hell do you hit one?
