Got a chuckle out of parts of that article satarizing the week's events.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it odd that a US Senator would personally call a woman just out of college and personally inviter her to be on his re-election committee. I mean she is 24 now and this was 2 or 3 years ago. Do Senators routinely personally seek out college kids to help them get re-elected?

I can see some campaign staffer calling a college kid to ask them to work on a campaign, but a Senator calling the kid?

What about the denial on Imus? All he said is that there is nothing to talk about and that he wasn't worried about it. He never said that he didn't have an affair.

Now, for anyone who wants to get hypertechnical, the Judge didn't actually throw out the charge, but this ruling effectively tells the prosecutor "Hey, drop this silly charge" and makes it nearly impossible for the prosecution to get a conviction on the charge.

I dig this ruling. Its a strong "Don't bring shit into my courtroom when the rest of your case is already a waste of tax dollars" position.
