This is me being very nice.

Stop. Stop now.

Stop.

Baker Furniture has a line called "Stately Homes" or something that might go with your dark antiques. And they have lines that are styled like the 30s etc. if your antiques are less old. I'm not sure what period you are in.

$3 buys you four of these at home depot.

In my experience as a guardian ad litem in child neglect/abuse cases, in many cases the selfishness doesn't even extend out that one more level. They still only care about themselves and the kids suffer.

And from general observation, in a lot of cases the neglect/abuse doesn't rise to the level where child protection steps in. So I'd have to agree with you that procreation does not of itself result in a major positive change of personality.

Ha. You forget that I am a desparate divorcee and going to die alone with cats foraging over my decomposing flesh.

Behold the munchkin:

Mine has much longer fur but has the cutest short little legs.

Here is some more information because I know you are interested:

*digging* *throwing over my shoulder*

I'm not stupid, I know when someone is ignoring me, and when someone is flirting with me, and when someone is *sigh* just being nice to me. That is all I am saying.

Not my taste, but it seemed like their stuff might meet your requirements. Yay!

They used to have . . . not an outlet, but like when they had a couple of something left over, or floor samples of stuff that was discontinued . . . whatever that is, where my parents live. But it's not there anymore. Also sadly I'm full up on furniture. I'd like a more modern-looking dining room table/chairs (got mine when I lived in an older house) but can't really afford it right now.
