I vaguely remember hearing reports that this shit is indeed illegal, but that the law really has no impact. Sure, you can't do it, but if the Gov't does, so what?

I understand and sympathize with your rant, but remember that this is Bush's America, where the news media screws up and people get fired, and when the government screws up, people get medals.

I have read in several places that this was done in the Clinton and other administrations and, unfortunately, appears to be common practice.

In general, I think the right of center bloggers (or at least those that I read) are pretty fair. I am curious to if the left of center bloggers will be once a DEM is in the WH.
