i don't think it is merely that the "hunt" could result in pain or even injury for the women is why people are objecting to this. i'm pretty sure it is because people find the entire idea of hunting other humans with guns to be objectionable - yes, they are using non-lethal weapons, but its stilll running around and shooting defenseless people with guns. the fact that the people being hunted are naked women adds in a strong element of misogyny.

personally, as long as being shot with a paintball while naked doesn't pose a high risk of personal injury, the only rational reason i could see to objecting to it is that there is something very unseemly about telling people to go out and hunt women with guns. but it just seems wrong to me to have men pay money to hunt and shoot women - even with paintballs.

Mark Ratner: Well, naturally something happens. I mean, you put the vibe out to 30 million chicks, something is gonna happen.

Mike Damone: That's the idea, Rat. That's the attitude.

Mark Ratner: The attitude?

Mike Damone: Yeah! The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.
Yeah, that "Side 2 of Led Zeppelin IV" advice he gave out really worked well...

They're definitely being overcharged.

The allegation about Jagger occurred on May 4, 1990 on Joan Rivers's talk show. I made no further comment about timing, because post hoc ergo propter hoc is a logical fallacy I wanted to avoid in making my case.
the song "china girl" first appeared on iggy pop's album "the idiot" in 1977. bowie was commonly known to be bi-sexual in the early 1970s. david bowie and his wife angela bowie were well known to be involved with mick jagger in the early 1970s (for evidence see the rolling stones song "angie").

Alright, so Jan beat Lance in a time trial for the first time every (or in a while). Has he beaten him in a mountain stage ever? I mean, by more than a handful of second? The last image I have of Jan in the mountains was of Lance staring back it him a) while blasting up L'Alpe D'Huez and b) while Jan flew off a descent in the Pyrennes.

I don't deny that I could be wrong, but under the circumstances I doubt it.

I keep myself together pretty well. I'm no metrosexual but I'm no Fab 5 fixer-upper candidate either. As for the MP3, I have one and often use it on the train. I just don't have the time lately to upload/download any new stuff.

In the end, it really doesn't matter if I'm right or wrong, because nothing's going to come of it. I'm flattered, but it's just not gonna happen...

Yeah, but dude, Jan had a serious fever on L'Alpe D"Huez this year. It seems like Jan is stronger in the time trials than in the mountain this tour, but the second to last stage is a time trial. I still believe in Lance, but damn it is a close race. And don't count out Vino. And, hello! Fucking Tyler Fucking Hamilton! I think this is going to be a kick ass ending to the Tour.

Well the hunting element and the nudity is new, but Coney Island has had the "Shoot the Freak" booth for a while now. I understand it was converted to a Shoot Saddam booth recently.

I agree. I was thinking of two years ago. Jan is strong, no doubt about it. But I've had the sense he has a hard time attacking in the mountains. But my memory is short.

Tyler Hamilton is immense. He's not going to win this year, but one has to wonder if might have if he hadn't broken his neck. Wow.

Let's not forget who's being exploited here.

Ullrich's otherwise got a pretty good record in the Pyrenees though. And while there's still some speculation that Lance is holding back deliberately trying to let the other climbers burn themselves out, I doubt he'd have left it til this late to build up a reasonable buffer. Ought to be an interesting race in the next few stages.

I believe Bowie has repeatedly denied being bi-sexual, noting that he is, instead, tri-sexual.

So that's how he accounts for Iggy Pop?
