Because that is the way it is. She was fucking the old guy to get a career advantage or maybe he was buying her things. Young women fuck old guys for money, career advantage, etc. but not sex.
If she were from a poor family and saddled with law school debt and her hubby didn't look like he would be making money anytime soon, she might have even been looking to leave her hubby for him. But not for the sex. For the social status and money.
That is the way it is now and has always been when it comes to May December romances.

The Clay fan club was hitting the phones last night. There is no way Matthew deserved to be in the top 3. Every other one of the 8 sang better than he did. If he moves on to the next stage, I'm going to scream and my throat is still too sore for that. If he moves on and Fantasia doesn't, I'll double scream.
ETA: My voice was spared. Still, every one of the other 5 should be pissed that he got more votes. I'm hoping they pull from this group for the Callback round -- I'd like to see Jennifer and Marque or Erskine to get another chance.
P.S. What a waste of a half hour. All commercials and Ryan Seacrest. Next week I'll wait until the last 5 minutes.

Texas mom faces trial for selling sex toys
You know selling sex toys has got to be wrong when Baptist mothers-of-3 are doing it.

I like that two churches told the woman she is not welcome. I am assuming that the woman didn't actually attend either of these churches, and that the churches were kind of preemptively banning her.
I swear, I would only ever buy or use a sex toy for novelty value and not for any kind of sensual purpose.
So, why does it seem to be OK for me to order stuff over the internet that is explicitly marketed as sex toys for sex, not novelty value? Anyone? Or can those purveyors be prosecuted, and only permitted to sell like lingerie or whatever, kinda like internet wine places can only sell non-alcoholic stuff like chocolate or glasses to certain states?

If you're saying labor lawyers are not allowed to screw around, that's the kind of thing that going to create more M&A, PI and enviromental lawyers.
Someone should get word to the law schools that there's more downside to a defense labor practice than dealing with cut-throat plaintiff's lawyers with a shaky case and tight margins.

I haven't been able to figure out how to do the search in Westlaw under a dummy client code without having the search scrutinized, so I'm still wondering where this bullshit novelty thing came from. It's certainly not in the relevant statute, and I've seen judges say that marital aides are OK. I wonder if volunteering my time on this case would count towards my hours under the Texas Supreme Court's Equal Access to Justice initiative.
Again, if this case doesn't have a satisfactory* outcome, I'm running for the legislature with the sole aim of overturning the statute. And I probably live in one of the better districts to get into office on that platform.
*Satisfactory meaning the statute is overturned.

Sex toys in Texas/Bachelorette
From the article: "Gloria Gillaspie, a pastor at Lighthouse Church in Burleson, said she has met and counseled some women who had talked to Webb about the products she sold.
"It was causing problems with their marriages," she said."
Wouldn't you just want to be a fly on the wall during those counseling sessions? "Pastor Gloria, I bought the Strawberry Edible Cream but Billy Bob says if we waste time on that stuff, he can't finish during the commercial break between the news and Leno." Whatever happened to Marabel Morgan? I thought Southern Baptists could have fun during sex as long as it was in marriage. Then again, I go to a Presbyterian Church these days and the sermon topic next week is (I kid you not) "Last of the Red Hot Lovers." The last time the pastor did a sermon like that he suggested that parents send their kids off to children's church.
ETA: Google says there are 21 Baptist churches in Burleson plus some non-denominational and pentecostal ones. Should leave Ms. Webb plenty to choose from.
Bachlorette spoiler......
Speaking of Texans, I knew Lanny's goose was cooked as soon as his momma started talking. The only thing worse a guy's mother could say on your first meeting than that she wants her son to have a submissive wife and "if he says he needs you, you be there for him whether you want to or not" is that she expects to play a big part in your married life. I'd run for the hills and I'm a wingnut. With Lanny not stepping in at all, Meredith had to know she'd have to be submissive to Momma Lanny because Lanny would be submissive to Momma. Poor guy better either pick a docile girl who'll let his mom be the Alpha female for the whole family or get a backbone and create some personal space for his marriage.

Speaking of Anal Sex
A friend of mine's husband has begun to bug her for anal sex. They have been married about 5 years. She refuses. I am on her side on this. Too bad for him; he should have done that before getting married if he wanted that experience in life. However, this is becoming an issue in her marriage. I think he is an asshole (pun intended) and she should divorce him if anal sex (or lack thereof) is starting to cause problems in their marriage.
My current bf has never had anal sex. I don't want to ever have anal sex. My friend with the anal-sex-wanting -hubby thinks the same thing is going to happen to me as has happened to her because she is convinced that all men want to have anal sex at least once even if they won't admit it. I don't think she is correct.
Is anal sex a really big deal to men or is my friend's husband a perv? I think he is a perv and not all men want to put their dicks in someone's ass. I also think that there may be some sexual orientation issues going on if the anal sex is creating such issues in their marriage, KWIM?

Whether or not it counts, what could be more worthwhile than fighting for the rights of Baptist women whose husbands can't find the G spot? Or even the C spot. Surely there is a fundamental right in some constitutional penumbra to buy a vibrator in the privacy of a neighbor's home where the features can be explained by a nice mother of three instead of a pimply faced clerk and you can also have some sweet tea and icebox cookies while checking out the merchandise.

These are YUM!!! You can add chocolate chips to them if you like.
1 1/2 cups butter or margarine, softened
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups chopped macadamia nuts
1 cup flaked coconut
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy in a large mixing bowl. Stir in vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir into the butter mixture. Then stir in the oatmeal, macadamia nuts and coconut.
Divide dough into three portions and roll each portion into a log about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap each log in plastic wrap and put into the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours, or wrap and freeze for up to 2 months.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper. If frozen, let dough logs sit out at room temperature for 5 minutes.
Slice each log into 1/4 inch rounds and place about 1 inch apart on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.

(1) It's not a big deal to me as I have never had it.
(2) Having said that, I would not want to be with a woman who thought that anal sex was "perverted" or that I would be a "perv" for wanting anal sex.
(2a) I don't think I would want to be with a woman who used the word "perv."
(3) If a man wants to have anal sex with a woman, he is straight. If a man wants to have anal sex with a man, he is not.
(3a) By your logic, because gay men have oral sex with each other, your friend's husband would be gay if he wanted oral sex from his wife.
