It's a wonder that the soundstage didn't collapse from the weight.

Kerry to meet with French president
January 13, 2005
PARIS -- Sen. John Kerry will meet Friday with French President Jacques Chirac, U.S. and French officials said.
The Massachusetts Democrat who lost the November election to incumbent President Bush has relatives in France and speaks French.
Kerry's stop in Paris was part of a trip to Europe and the Middle East, the U.S. Embassy in Paris said Thursday. Kerry was also to meet with French Foreign Minister Michel Barnier.
The senator's office in Washington did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

How quickly did the press drop coverage of the $100,000 disguised bribe to Bill Clinton? Hillary (from reading the WSJ) learned enough about commodities to parlay a $1,000 investment into $100,000. Despite that track record she remained at her law firm instead of going to work for George Soros.

How anybody who read the New York Times while Clinton was president could say that the "liberal media" went light on him while he was in office is insane. The whole Whitewater story broke in the Times (before he was president, actually), and the Times was the main media outlet responsible for keeping that story alive after the election.
And don't even make me go back and pull old Maureen Dowd columns.
Oh, and let's not forget where Michael Isakoff (sp. -- sic transit gloria, dude) worked -- Newsweek, part of the Washington Post family.
All of Bill's many sins were laid out all over the place. To pretend otherwise is just stupid.

And, as I recall, he took a little heat for it.
How big is that jar, anyway?

I'm not entirely clear on how federal dollars were used to pay reporters in the oh-so-sparsely-covered Whitewater scandal.

Reporting on the sins of someone like Clinton is unavoidable. The bias is a matter of timing and emphasis. Contrast the made up crap from NYT on Bush- or just look at how NYT didn't point out the CBS memos were faked until far too late.

Again, grousing about liberal media bias has absolutely nothing to do with the Administration paying off news media to cover something favorably without disclosing the financial relationship and the source of the information presented as "news."

Hank, it's about time, they really needed you. They're trying to change the subject from the White House paying reporters for favorable coverage, and no one else can use the words "Whitewater", "Hilary" or "New York Times" in as many lunatic, inane and nonsensical sentences as you.
So, tell me Bushies, why is Cheney/Armstrong Payola OK? Who are the "Everybody" who does it, other than the Red Everybody?
Why, Bilmore, Why?
Who, Bilmore, Who?

conf. to Hank -- "Rope a Dope" is a fun debating style from time to time, but take care not to make it your main schtick. People will either start to get irritated with you, or start presuming that this is really your best shot. See, e.g., club.
