Why do we need to select our team exclusively from the ranks of the NBA? Most of the guys who play on the international team couldn't sniff the NBA. We could have one or two big time scorers to plug in here and there to a national team that plays together all the time. There are scores of shooters out there who could be put on a team and coached year round under FIBA rules.

I think I'm set though. The 80s nostalgia has pretty much set in, and American Apperal has a gold lame body suit. I saw the lame leggings in the window as I was driving down Westheimer yesterday.



Lord help us all, I think they're expecting people to wear this in a non costume party setting.

My main thought on that suit is that the legs need to be cut higher on the sides.

I sometimes throw my change in the Starbucks tip jar and I never buy anything there that costs more than $3 (I don't go to Starbucks very often and I can't remember whether the tea costs more than $2 or not, but I think not). The change means nothing to me, so I don't care whether it was earned or whether it is a tip-appropriate service or not. I doubt they make a killing off of the proceeds of the tip jar. They probably started putting one up because some people were tipping and if there is a tip jar, the tips are actually shared by all employees instead of the counter kids getting all the tips.

There is an exception: if your order is unusually difficult such that taking your order is a headache that takes away from other customers.

I assume that the transactions are submitted electronically, and that the credit card company couldn't possibly know what I wrote on the slip, but I really don't know.

Well, about one chance out of about 8.2 for each time you do it, but if you've done it 28 times, there's a 97.8% chance someone has ripped you off for at least $2.00.

What the hell is up with this trend, anyway? Conceivably it is so that the register people can process more customers, but to me it looks like they're just lazier than ever. And the new napkin dispensers! Holy shit. It is physically impossible to grab more than one napkin at a time now. That couldn't be more annoying.
