And it passed the FB right by that Pier 1 has fired spokesperson Kirstie Alley and replaced her with Queer Guy Thom. All the usual news sites (cnn, etc.) mentioned in their stories something about the fact that Thom is (gasp!) gay. One story even mentioned that maybe Pier 1 is (gasp!) not going for the straight guy demographics when it picks a spokesperson. Cause so many straight guys shop there. Right.
I thought it was because Kirstie is fat.

Huh. And I thought it was her grating voice and personality.

From what I've heard, it's a little too late for you to start saying that now.*

You've used the term incorrectly so often you don't even know what the fuck you're saying anymore. What you mean to say is, "For someone who invented the term, you sure do it a lot."

I see when people whiff all the time. I just haven't run the term into the ground like you, dumbass.

First BRC, and now PJ. Why must you people rip on FOH? The risk of outing myself even further (not possible, at this point) is far outweighed by the need to stand up for my beloved. Check out the hip and affordably priced clothes (sports wear, dresses and fantasy lingerie designed and bought by Mrs. Str8) at www.fredericks.com. And they DO NOT sell sex toys or inflatable partners. Anymore.

This seems like a great reason to rip on them.

I now have to go elsewhere to find sex toys for my inflatable partners. When you don't please them immediately, they end up dead by Shape Shifter's pool.

Whiff. Has it occurred to you I am trying to run it into the ground like I try to do with all stupid boardisms? Was THAT a proper use of whiff, Captain?

Speaking of sex through holes, I loved Curb last night. I've never seen the Producers, but I know the storyline, and so I couldn't believe that I didn't see the joke coming from the very beginning. Anyway, the show was hilarious, an excellent season finale, I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats.

And Cheryl looked gorgeous -- better than ever.
Absolutely right on all counts. About as clever as TV (storytelling) can get. Bravo.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original use of whiff did not signify that a poster had simply missed a joke, or took another poster seriously when em was not, in fact, serious. "Whiff" was reserved for when a poster totally creamed a softball, not realizing that it has already been hit out of the park by the post to which em was replying --- just more subtly so. It's swinging at a softball that is no longer there by posting the punchline that was itself implied earlier.

Please stop using it for "You are entirely too credulous" (i.e., "I was joking, dumbass").

Why was it so clever? Feel free to explain the producers storyline if necessary

I thought whiff was tantamount to "a swing and a miss". like they said in the softball league. So I think yoiu are wrong, which is like the second time in a week. wow. +
