FWIW, I flew a couple times during Covid (2020 and 2021). Numerous connectors, too.

I didn't get get it either time.

Where I'm pretty sure I got it the first time was a Courthouse filled with morons wearing masks below their noses. Second time I think it was from a family member. One of my parents was just recently diagnosed with it after asking for allergy meds.

I've a cousin who's a pilot. He was careful, as he has to assiduously use PPE and test constantly, but I believe he made it through the whole pandemic so far without getting it.

It's impossible to figure out how this thing transmits, as there are endless exceptions to every rule people think they've found. The only rule that makes sense to me is viral load plays a role. People contracted it like crazy at Mardi Gras, and choirs tended to have huge outbreaks. If you're concerned about getting it, going to concerts or boxing matches, or anywhere people are yelling, probably isn't wise.
