When lovable nerds Gilbert and Lewis embark on their freshman year at Adams College, little do they realize the perils that await them. They're beset with taunting by the jocks of the Alpha Beta fraternity, which only worsens when the jocks accidentally burn down their house and are forced to toss the freshmen out of the freshmen dorm. To make matters more problematic, Lewis develops a crush on pretty Betty Childs, popular sorority sister and the girlfriend of Stan Gable, head Alpha Beta and quartback. Joined by the aptly named Booger and the violin-playing Pointdexter, the nerds soon realize they must form their own fraternity in self-defense. Soon the tables are turned as the nerds employ high-tech warfare against the jocks.... but can they really win and make a difference?

And yet sort of like these guys.

Actually, nothing like these guys.
These guys are rebellious hedonistic pranksters.
The nerds only do harm when harm is done to them first. And they look out for the well-being of ALL nerds.

Bar Question (the kind with beer, not exams)

Of course, I've been known to smoke a cigarette or two myself, so maybe that's it.

[Sigh]
I miss smoking. A lot. If it weren't for the four major drawbacks, I'd smoke two packs a day. Those drawbacks being (in order):
1) My wife would kill me
2) Early death (aside from the wife)
3) Feeling like crap kind of all the time after getting to the pack a day level
4) Smelling like stale smoke.
It was really my favorite vice. I've never been a big drinker. Drugs never really did it for me. But a cigarette. It's like a quick little pick me up. Stimulating and relaxing all at the same time. Very social, too, the smoking ritual (offering one to others, lighting the other person up, etc.). The best was that first cigarette in the morning, preferably after morning sex, with a cup of coffee in your other hand. Especially in the autumn, when it's a little cool out. Damn.

What's up with the fraternity logos, slave and coltrane? I get the feeling that they would be really funny if I knew the backstories. But I don't. So they're not. Not that you care.

His is a joke. Mine is legit. Which is not to say my years living in the frat house weren't funny.
Oh, FWIW, George W. is a brother of mine from Phi Chapter.

" Other hand"? I think you are doing sex wrong.
Of course, now I'm going to picture you in the Lumbergh position.

Pardon my ignorance, but Vanity Fair in the Beckham issue just did a piece on the skull and bones social club? fraternity? yale specific club? that George W and Kerry were members of. Is it the same organization? Odd initiations that include lying in a coffin.......

You now officially get my vote, Paigow. I can't control myself when it comes to women who mail it in.

Don't get your Toughskins in a twist. I thought it was pretty funny. And you'll learn control when you get a little older.

Paging Atticus
I think that this should be your new avatar:
And in my imagination, you look sort of like this. Maybe a little less flamboyant. I wonder if this perception on my part is somehow related to your Niles avatar?
Anyone planning to Tivo the new Graham Norton Comedy Central show?

If you thought it was funny, then the world is in big trouble when you take it over.
You're the french to RP's Jerry Lewis.

Tivo'ed five months of Mr. Norton on BBC America, which aired reruns his Sky talk show two times a day. I've seen enough of him to last a lifetime or two.
I think America is about to discover that a little Graham Norton goes a long, long way.
