I'm not trying to ruin anyone's day. Just passing along information, like the Matt Drudge of the FB. Or something.

so morrissey allegedly said that he wished bush had died instead of reagan at a concert in manchester on saturday. the question is will this have any impact on his tour in the us. i'm thinking that str8 can go ahead and arbitrage those tickets because the die hard morrissey fan doesn't really care one way or another or thinks similar thoughts (though probably doesn't say them out loud in the us).
i did not have one of the giant morrissey posters up in my college dormroom, though the girl across the hall from me did and the guy next door did too.

The "die-hard Morrissey fan" is quite likely to be a 35-year old Republican now, so even though it may not affect concert ticket sales, it will kill the new CD*
* which is silly, but then so are comments like these from musicians. as if we care what they think.

There was a smiths' revival in some of the college campuses in late 1999 early 2000. They're hipsters in their 20s. The clueless demographic every loony wants.

Nobody but the diehard Morrissey fans really care about Morrissey anymore... much of the listening public has gotten over him. Unfortunately he's apparently never gotten over himself.

I spent a frusterating evening not so long ago conversing with a 20-something about The Smiths. He swore he had never heard of The Smiths or Morrissey. I told him that he definitely had heard How Soon Is Now and described the fucking Maxima commercial with the car spinning through the desert. He couldn't place it, etc. Stupidest thing about the whole argument - the guy was in advertising. Biggest (or should I say only) client? Ford.
Kids.
