"The biggest news to me this morning is this is a red-state movie," he said, referring to the state whose residents voted for George W. Bush in the 2000 election. "Republican states are embracing the movie, and it's sold out in Republican strongholds all over the country."'

1) You're quoting Harvey on this? You've got to me kidding me.
2) Movie has about 2-3 weeks of legs, tops (and that's only because of the staggered release), because "Here comes a' Spider-man"

shit, I have a lot of useless US Weekly type knowledge. the storage of these sorts of tidbits in my brain is the only thing keeping me from being really fucking great at my job, I'm sure. well that and internet chat boards.

To be true to yourself, you really ought to pursue that for which you have a passion, and not worry so much about conforming to other people's expectations. Who really cares about being "great" at your "job." Or about the "money" and "prestige" and "blow" that come with it? These things are ephemeral, except for the blow. Embrace your fascination with US Weekly. It may win you a lot more shit here, but, hey, as Keynes said, in the long run we're all dead.

ncs,
I'd like to propose that you and I spend a week in a South American resort, doing blow, taking x and reading Us Weekly.
I'll buy the first round of mai tais. And I've got dibs on the pool boy who looks like Kevin Bacon and doesn't speak a word of english...

I know she was adopted. But I'm pretty sure she's mixed and that has nothing to do with who adopted her.
Looks like she's hispanic and not black. But she is mixed.

Why? Do I have to be saying whatever he is saying is a fact for me to quote him? The point is, it made too much money for it to only be a hit in New York City and Seattle, jerkoff.

What's your point? It has already set a record for a documentary, I believe and was the number one movie over the weekend. This FAR outdoes what anyone expected it to do.
So, why don't you go see it so that you can have something useful to say about it?

Nicole Ritchie is Latina/White (her real dad is Sheila E's brother. She was adopted by Lionel)

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Have you been hanging out with sb, because you're not yourself (or whichever one of you you pass of as such).
I am always an ass. I am completely consistent. Especially when I'm responding to someone who is speaking directly to me.
You said "WhereTF did that come from?" (or something) to a statement that was completely innocuous. In fact, all he was saying was that he didn't think it would sway any on-the-fence voters and you went nuts. And that's just one example of your looniness today. But you're not going to see it. So, take my (and the other posts that pointed it out's) word for it. You're acting loopy.

Generally, you want to avoid the obvious, self-deprecaating cry for help. If you give it any notice at all, the dork will cling to you for the rest of the semester, trying to get you to adopt it.

Whatever, you'd still do her. Especially if she was splurging for the blow.

I remember now. She was at one of lionel's show and she was so cute he asked to adopt her and they said yes. The sheila e reference jogged my memory because the whole situation sounds strange.
Totally unrelated does anyone watch VH1's 80's videos? teena marie was on the other day and I could sing the whole song word for word. I completely horrified Mr. para. he must have been too busy at headbanger's ball

I think you've found a date for your sister's pee fetishist. They can take turns with each other.
