1) Another brilliant Sealab showed up on my Tivo while I was on vacation. -- Quinn and Coach take over Debbie's fourth grade class while she's on a personal day at the spa:

"Per written instructions from both production counsel and Standards and Practices, I am enjoying this hookah in a drug-free way. [cough cough cough]"

2) I wrote a song about my favorite public radio network.

Thanks for all of the advice. I called my landlord and left a message. If there are any hilarious hijinks when someone tries to crawl up to this weird little hole in the closet ceiling, I'll let y'all know.

I once had to live with the smell of a dead mouse in my office wall, so I hardly even want to imagine what a dead raccoon might smell like.

P.S. to Coltrane: I'm a woman and my cat's got no balls. Otherwise, I'd definitely follow your advice!

No way he has them under control. I gave them to Paigow in the first place and they flare up at least once a week.

This weekend is Art Houston. A hell of a lot of galleries are having openings either tonight or all day tomorrow. Exciting things this year include the first show in Inman Gallery's new space on Main Street (opening tonight), the Lawndale's Big Show (which is at the Art Car Museum instead of Lawndale because they're in the middle of renovations) (reception tonight), and Sicardi Gallery's companion show to the Inverted Utopia show over at the Museum of Fine Arts (reception tomorrow night). Mackey, Poissant, Inman, Mixture and the Big Show are tonight. Everything else looks like it's tomorrow night.

If you just wander up and down Colquitt tomorrow night, you can get pretty hammered with all the free wine and beer the galleries are giving out. You may even see some good art.

There's a map for anyone unfamiliar with the location of any of the galleries. I imagine there will be a lot of unofficial events going on as well.
