No need to even pay once - there are a bunch of screen savers out there for free. I'm actually kind of interested in Bilmore's and Leagl's comments that there are products or software that will let you do the ceiva thing without the monthly fee. I'm sorry I've never used one, so I can't endorse one. What I do is make CD roms of photos of the Nephew Eaze and set them up to run as slideshows for any family members who would like them.
I also make them so they can run on a dvd player, so people can just watch them on their tvs.
