Good way to lose it, if you asked me.

Mounds? Blech. The best thing about getting Mounds and Almond Joys on Halloween was that my Dad liked them, and I didn't let on that I hated them, so I could offer them up and protect my cache of Twizzlers and Snickers and Smarties.

I didn't cry during this movie or Philadelphia. In fact, I didn't think either was a particularly good movie and neither made me get very emotional.

But neither had mommies dying of terminal cancer, so what can I say?

I have Peppermint Patties, too. Not a Mary Jane to be seen. And nothing with coconut. I'm new to the neighborhood, I can't afford to screw up, so please advise.
I'll give you thumbs up on the Peanut Butter Cups (if they are full size, which I assume they are), Crunch bars, Starbursts. I know people (not me) tend to like the Snickers, 100 Grands, Twix and Skittles (these I liked until an unfortunate overconsuming episode or two), so overall I give your candy selection a thumbs up. Maybe not AWESOME but definitely not unacceptable. Nice variety. Something for everyone.

What time should I come by on Oct 31?

We'll go back and if we don't get at least a Reeses Big Cup, let's TP her house.

Miniature PB cups are no good. The chocolate/PB proportions are all wrong.

See, I find that making out during sad movies involves my risking [my own] death by suffocation.

Here's some more movies during which it wouldn't be adviseable for me to attempt to make out:

Sense and Sensibility (when Marianne's heart is broken - waaah!)
Babette's Feast (last scene -- triple hanky)
Remains of the Day
American Beauty (last episode of SFU was a total bawlfest)
Billy Elliot (reading the letter from his dead mom -- hey -- it's getting dusty in here right now!!)
The Cider House Rules
Road to Perdition (how come you liked my dead brother better?)
The Pianist**
The Lion King
The Way We Were (last scene)

**(I've left off several holocaust movies because they've already been mentioned )

Two things.

Man accused of punching out plane window during flight

TAMPA, Florida (AP) -- A passenger punched out the interior pane of an airplane window on an American West flight from Las Vegas to Florida, authorities said.

Ryan J. Marchione, 24, shattered the inner plastic shield covering the glass window and disconnected its frame about 90 minutes into the flight, according to an FBI affidavit. The outer window was not damaged and the plane did not depressurize, the airline said.

Marchione was arrested when the plane landed Wednesday at Tampa International Airport. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted of a charge of damaging or destroying an aircraft while it was operating.

About 90 minutes after the plane departed, Marchione "woke abruptly from his sleep and turned to the passenger seated in 7B ... raised a clenched fist to his shoulder as if he was going to strike the passenger in 7B, then suddenly turned and struck the exterior window," the affidavit said.

"It appears to have come out of nowhere," said Marchione's attorney, Thomas Ostrander. "Perhaps it was some sort of a psychotic episode as a result of drug abuse."

Marchione was released on $25,000 bail to home detention with electronic monitoring.

1. This dude is fucking strong. If I were sitting in 7B, that would freak me the fuck out.

2. Is it just me or does his lawyer sound like one of his buddies who doesn't know him all that well?

Their suits are terrible.
I'm really pissed off that a Hugo Boss suit that I bought less than three years ago is now completely destroyed. The jacket went a couple of months ago (several decent sized patches of fabric worn through), followed by the pants tearing dramatically when I bent down (no comments about my weight necessary). I bought the suit at Barney's during a sale, but I didn't have any reason to expect the suit was made of wet paper.

Fuck Hugo Boss. In the ass.

Poll stolen from Lawyers, Guns and Money. What movies make you cry?

For me, the end Beauty and the Beast (Disney version) Every. Single. Time. Even though I know that the Beast isn't really dead, and that he'll be getting up in just a moment, and turning into a guy who isn't nearly as attractive as the Beast, it gets to me.

Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. From when Anikin attacks the Jedi temple and kills all the Jedi, but especially when each of the individual jedi get ambushed by the Storm Troopers. Subsequent viewings don't make this easier on me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm pathetic.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 5, "The Gift" Right when it's clear that Buffy's going to kill herself. I'm bawling like a baby. And I don't even like Buffy that much.

Robin Hood (Disney version) I'm not as bad as my sister on this particular scene, but I do get misty every time the mean ol' sheriff takes the little rabbit's birthday present. His little lip quiver when he tells Robin Hood about it gets to me every time.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The last memory and the knowledge that it's the last memory.

I'm sure there are more but these are the ones that come to mind first.
I'm fully aware that this is pathetic and sad, but several storylines from "Love Actually" make me cry, especially the one with the little kids, and their big Christmas Pageant scene. Maybe it's because I was a drummer a million years ago, and had a big crush on a girl singer in my school . . .
